What's up my fellow Steemians! It's your boy Yukimaru back at it again on the gaming dimension and ill be discussing about the latest upcoming patch of my favorite game of all time (well, in par with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) PATH OF EXILE. So without further ado, let's get down to business.

Path of Exile: War for the Atlas is the upcoming seventh expansion for POE. It will be officially released on December 8, 2017, which roughly 16 hours from the time of this writing. The expansion focuses on reworking the Atlas of Worlds system, and alongside with it comes a plethora of new and exciting content:

• The Elder Guardians
• 32 new maps
• 10 new gems
• Shaped and Elder Items
• Abyss Challenge League
• 50+ new unique items

THE ELDER WANTS THE ATLAS

According to their War page, seems that this Elder wants to duke it out with the Shaper for the control of the Atlas of Worlds. Maybe he is pissed on the current Atlas system that he wants to rework it, who knows?

As The Elder grows more powerful, he will consume The Shaper's creations to manifest his own Guardians. The stronger the consumed boss, the stronger The Elder is when you face him.

Also stated in the page are the dreadful Elder Guardians. For The Elder to consume the Shaper's wardens means he is one savage entity. Holy shmucks, we are in for another set of intense boss fights with new mechanics. Love it. <3

ADVENTURE TIME WITH 32 NEW MAPS

The Atlas has been redrawn. Find your way to the centre through new paths and discover new challenges along the way. War for the Atlas adds 32 maps to Path of Exile's ever-evolving end-game.

MORE MAPS, MORE FUN! That's what we say. :)
New maps to run and wreck havoc onto are always welcome. I'm not complaining on their humongous 113 base map pool at the moment, but i do appreciate uncharted areas to venture and get my palms sweaty unto.

SHINY NEW ITEMS AND GEMS. SWEET!!!

With at least 50+ new items and 10 new gems, a whole new world of theorycrafting opens up. A definite pandora's box, number crunching DPS and defense stats, building a more effective character to take up the new challenges ahead. This is the defining factor of Path of Exile which makes it stand out from the rest.
4 years in the game and counting, that is something. :)

THE ABYSS LEAGUE CHALLENGE

Alongside the expansion, we're also introducing the Abyss Challenge League. Fight foes that spill forth from the underworld beneath your feet as you journey across Wraeclast. Claim valuable new Abyss Jewels to customise your characters and items in new ways.

Grinding Gear Games you are always keeping it fresh. Kudos to y'all. From the looks of the screenshot above, a ghastly and appalling challenge is ready and waiting to be discovered. Another exciting league awaits us, i just want to sleep all day and let the day pass by. But i have work so i can't do that LOL. :D Patience is a virtue, it's like 16 more hours til it's release. YEHAAWWW!!!!!
