Star Wars Republic Commando: Droids + Weaponry

in #gaming8 years ago

May the "Force" always be with you, my dear readers, lords of light and ladies of good who follow me in this arduous battle against the forces of evil, along with our Delta squadron of elite clones.

But before I begin to tell you about my experience in combat in the second installment, I will explain to you about the types of droids I'm getting so far and the weaponry we'll be using.

life

Combat Droids B1

  • Home world: Geonosis
  • Created by: Geonosians
  • Class: Combat Droid
  • Armament: E-5 blaster rifle / Thermal detonator

They are those known to some as standard combat droids, designed with this physical structure to resemble as closely as possible their creators the Geonosians.
They were used as part of the army of the "Confederation of Independent Systems" functioning as a troop against the Grand Army of the Republic.
They have three fingers on each hand, but they are vulnerable to weapons with electrical pulses like the electro-proton pump.

I don't consider them to have high combat capability or strategists, but they are a great fighting force when they attack in large groups because they possess high artillery and are superior in number.

life

B2 Superdroids Combat

  • Home world: Geonosis
  • Created by: Geonosians
  • Class: Combat Droid
  • Weapons: Wrist blaster and energy shield blaster.

These droids are totally superior to their predecessors the B1, with more weaponry and a shield that protects them against blaster fire.

They have a limited capacity for movement because of their weight, but high resistance, in addition to having a blaster weapon on their wrists with a rapid fire capability, when they see that they will be attacked by heavy weapons or grenades they activate their shield to take less damage.

I don't recommend melee attack with the blade, because you have to hit the joint parts to make it effective, because if you hit the armor it will bounce off the blade without causing any damage, although approaching this enemy is not recommended because its high firepower will cause us much damage.

life

Geonosiano

  • Home planet: Geonosis
  • Species: Insectoid
  • Weaponry: Geonosian spear and Geonosian sonic blaster.

They are not droids but the creators of these and are part of the army that constantly attacks us in the first missions of the Delta squadron.

It is reported to be a caste-based species and each hive was led by a queen, with the ability to fly and cling to the walls.

Some have heavy weaponry called a "sonic blaster" which is a very damaging, lightning style weapon that takes a while to fire but has very high and continuous damage.

life

DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System

It is a multifunction blaster used by the clone commandos of the Galactic Republic, the ultimate weapon for any clone soldier.

It has 3 interchangeable modes.

Automatic standard
Semi-automatic sniper
Semi-automatic projectile launcher
It can be assembled and disassembled in a matter of seconds in the middle of combat to choose the most suitable mode for the enemy we face or the amount of ammunition we possess.

In the previous issue of Star Wars: Republic Commando we were on a mission to destroy the system that was interfering with communications.

After achieving the objective the squadron will need the help of location and analysis of the area although the advisor is able to scan the area of the factory, can not find any weakness to the factory to destroy it with air artillery, so our mission will be to infiltrate us to destroy it from inside.

In addition to being able to find and cut the terminal of the foundry's computer and load the schematics of complete factories, we will be able to move through some internal conduits but we will meet armed droids all along the way.

The delta squadron is informed of two energy conduits that have to be destroyed and we will search for the first energy conduit to destroy it and proceed to the next one, eliminating it with a detonation by Scorh, who always likes to destroy everything with explosions.

After that we will find more droids that will be interfering with our escape when we detect that we are inside the facilities, our objective will be to get out of there alive in a combat gunboat that will be waiting for us in one of the bays of the ships, which will be in charge of giving us support by firing at the droids that are around us, until we can get up in it to leave that place.

The next objective will be to deactivate a nearby Lucrehulk class "Core Ship" of which I am completely unaware but which we know is Confederate, and we need to recover the launch codes of the entire separatist fleet, which are necessary to prevent the droid armies from withdrawing from the battle of Geonosis.

So far I will leave the publication because it does not advance any more in the game, but I will continue writing in another occasion the experiences obtained in the course of the following games played, I will leave you a video so that you can have audiovisual support of what I mentioned and you can appreciate the content in a more didactic way.

I hope you liked the content of my publication, I bid you farewell and wish you
"May strength be with you always".

I've never played this game before, but I enjoyed reading this. The gameplay, or the mission that you write about, or the gameplay on this particular mission, sounds very tactical. The droids, the weapons, and the best ways to take them down, I like games that have that much or more depth to the combat. This was a nice read, even if I know so little about the game.

Also, I'm letting you know I include this in my "Gaming Posts of the Week" post that I do, I hope you don't mine. But if you do, just let me know.

Any details you see will let me know :D
I'm always trying to improve.

Good thing you liked the publication.
The game is entertaining and even more so if the player is a fan of the StarWars saga.
