Video Game Review: Robot Unicorn Attack Evolution: You Had Me At Robot Unicorn

Looking for an online browser game to play and review, I came across Robot Unicorn Attack Evolution. So of course I had to click on it. I don't particular have an affinity towards unicorns but when you see robot unicrons, it is hard not to at least give it a shot. The game is brought to you by Adult Swim and is playable here if you got some time to kill:

What the F#%^ Is It?

Well it is your typical endless runner game. The title screen has the controls which are only two buttons.

x: Rainbow Attack

z: jump, double jump

And on the title was, possibily the best press start to begin wording ever:

Prize z to chase your dreams.

Yes.

I will press z.

I will.

And so I did.

The game is what you would expect from a runner. Jump and survive. There are also butterflies that you can grab for points. But what stuck out for me was the ability to dash and air dash. Growing up a megaman x fan, I always liked the air dash and so it added nice touch to a familair genre. You have three lives, or wishes, as they are called in the game, and when you are done, your score is added for all three. I finished with a sad score of less than 5,000 of my first go, but got better as I got a handle on it

If you make it far enough you change into different animals and the background changes as well. If you like this kind of game or want something to do for 5 minutes, give it a shot.
