Gaming: Ain't No Party Like A Mario PartysteemCreated with Sketch.

I am a big fan of playing board games in digital form. Yeah board games can be fun and playing at a board game café with friends is a good time. But there are pieces and rules and people can cheat (or make mistakes). With a game it take care of all that for you and you can just enjoy the experience. Now games like Risk and Monopoly are fun, but Mario party took the board game elements and combined them with video game gameplay of mini games. And what you got was a fun game that has made a lot of sequels.

Mario party was a party game. And what makes a good party game is it being accessible to everyone. One way to accomplish this was chance. Yes that can take away from the fun of more competitive games but a party game is meant to be more relaxed (hopefully). Anyone can pick it up and have fun, if the room was full on gamers or first timers. But there was still a lot of skill involved. I have won many games because of the winning the majority of mini games but a friend who didn't game often could get a lucky roll and steal my stars on the last turn. I had some great times with friends playing these games. You could even play on the same team against the computer and this was a good way for a friend and I to play together without competing (which trust me is better for a friendship then going trying to beat each other). They are an example of a game that is great for a crowd of all ages and skill level.

Have you played any of them?

Sort:

do you play any games on 3DS? Mario Kart perhaps? if yes, let's be friends there and race. Am always open to new challenges.

I bought a switch just for a select few Nintendo exclusive titles. Mario party has always been a blast.
