Until Dawn. So there must be a really terrible horror

Cinematography and the game industry are closely related to each other: video games are made from films, films are shot based on games. At present, there are a lot of examples, but as practice shows, there are very few successful projects. But what if you combine these two giant industries? The answer is. The result of the hybridization of the industries was the so-called interactive cinema. The meaning here is very simple - watching the storyline of the film you can take part in its development, or even in a change. Believe me, the process is very exciting, you feel like a hero of a tape, and in some cases a director. I managed to watch/play several similar creations, I want to tell you about one of them, namely, "Until Dawn".

This interactive movie was released in the middle of 2015, the genre of survival horror. The game/movie is released exclusively for consoles of the new generation Sony Playstation 4, so, alas, if you do not have a prefix - you can not experience in full all the delights of Until Dawn.

Ten young people who went on an annual winter vacation in a country cottage. Nothing foretold troubles, it all began as a good quality youth horror. Friends decided to play a trick on one of the girls Hannah and played it, as a result of which she without outer clothing fled into the forest during a violent blizzard. Her friend Bet ran after her to calm the girl and bring her back, but the dense forest and the ghostly fear of the dark night made the girls run without looking back. In turmoil, they fall down from the cliff and crash to death, but no one has ever been able to find a body.

A year later, eight friends decided not to break the tradition to go on vacation again, thereby honoring the memory of the missing girls. After a while, very strange things begin to happen. Apparently the girls disappeared not accidentally, the killer is operating in the district and only you have the right to decide which of the guys will live till dawn!

The plot line is very exciting, there are always unpredictable events. Most of the time you are watching what is happening, but in order not to get bored you have to arm yourself with a gamepad and perform various actions. In general, the actions consist in choosing the behavior of the characters and in choosing their dialogues. The course of events directly depends on this. The story can end with as many as six different options, in the process the plot can also be abruptly different, thanks to the choice you made. If you try, you can save lives for all the heroes of the tape, and if you make a choice thoughtlessly, it is possible that all the characters will die.

The gameplay can not be called boring! The game component "To live until dawn" is very well thought out. For example, in some episodes your character needs to quietly sneak up to the desired place, while you need to keep the gamepad for a while, otherwise at the slightest hesitation your character may be at serious risk. This process is very palpitating and causes a quickening of the pulse. Sometimes there are scenes in which you in full volume are given the opportunity to control the hero, but such moments are few. Even if you have never played computer games before, you can put a low level of complexity and plunge into the world of interactive cinema! I guarantee, it will tighten up and you will like it. The feeling that you are at the center of the horror film is present here in its entirety, this can not be conveyed in words. There are moments in which it is really scary! It is this feeling that is lacking when viewing modern primitive horror films.

Visually "Until Dawn" looks simply amazing! Here is a very fine line between video game and film, graphics at a high level. All the characters are completely sketched from the actors who played the roles for this masterpiece. Snow drifts around the sky, silence reigns and ... horror. The inexpressible atmosphere attracts you and makes you immerse yourself in what is happening on the screen. It's good that I bought a disc with a game on a day off. After I started the game, I could not tear myself away from it. This story is very interesting and fascinating, I was tormented by the question "what will happen next?". I could not tear myself away from the process and went through the game without stopping in about ten hours. This is another big plus, because the average movie is a half or two hours, and this one is much longer, like a mini-series.

Those who have never encountered interactive cinema, I recommend to begin acquaintance with "Until Dawn". Agree, watch a movie or participate in it is a huge difference. You get a lot of impressions and emotions, and most importantly a good terrible story. Especially have to taste fans of horror. In this work of art there are no shortcomings, only pluses, so my modest estimate is 11 out of 10.
