Here's Your Guide on Armor in Dota 2!

in #gaming7 years ago

Often Dota 2 players make common mistakes in the late game, which is concerned with damage rather than armor. In fact, Dota 2 armor is really important guys! Why is that? Here is a Dota 2 armor guide!

Armor is one of the attributes possessed by hero in Dota 2. Without armor, of course the game Dota 2 will be more boring because it is too "simple".

In addition, armor is an important attribute to be considered by every player! Why? Because the armor can determine the life and death of hero.

Without further ado, just let's see the guide armor Dota 2 so you better understand its use!

What is Armor Function?

As the name implies, and the literal sense, armor is a garment to protect a person from outside attack. In Dota 2 and many games, armor is useful to protect a character from an attack by his opponent.

Usually, the armor function is to increase your physical defenses, so you will receive less damage if you are hit by an enemy!

Armor Dota 2 is also like that. This attribute will reduce any physical damage received by a hero with a percent count. For example, a hero with armor 2, will only receive 90 percent physical damage only.

Differences in Armor Type

In Dota 2, at first glance this may seem trivial. But, sometimes you have to take this into account, especially your objective is building like a tower or barrack.

Do not be underestimated guys! Because of the Hero type attacks, it only gives 50% damage to units with the Structure armor type. No wonder, you are a bit difficult to destroy siege creeps in the early game is not it?

But unlike the Siege attack type. Attacks from siege creeps are capable of delivering 250% damage to buildings! Not surprisingly, on several occasions, the hero with Dominator deliberately took siege creeps to help destroy the tower.

Notice the Armor Curve

image
Unlike strength, agility, or intelligence attributes that add HP, where, or damage in a linear fashion, armor adds physical resistance curvatively. Confused, try to note the picture above.

In the picture, you can see that a hero with armor 0 will receive 100 percent damage (the number 1 means 100 percent), then the armor 10 will receive 60 percent more damage (0.6 means 60 percent) or 40 percent physical resistance!

However, the effectiveness of armor will decrease. If with 10 armor you have 40 percent physical resistance, but with 20 armor you only have 55 percent physical resistance only.

Means, the addition of 0 to 10 armor will give you 40 physical resistance. But the addition of 10 to 20 armor only gives you an extra 15 physical resistance!
What about 70 armor? You will have 80 percent physical resistance! However, you need to have 6 Assault Cuirass first in the inventory. Where does it damage from then on?

Conclusion: Do not Underestimate Dota 2 Armor!

If you already know or at least have an overview of armor counting, we can now draw the conclusion that the armor is very important even in the early game!
Buying one Ring of Protection, or having 5 armor in the early game gives you 23 percent physical resistance. Very enough to survive the harass or gank of the opponent!

It is also what makes Lich hero on the rise. Ice Armor Skill that gives 3 armor in level one is very helpful for many heroes to win the lane in early game.

While in mid game to late game, you can consider having at least 20 armor to "double" your HP. Why? With 55 percent physical resistance, it means the enemy needs to attack you twice to get his damage in full, right?

Hopefully you can understand with armor Dota 2 after reading this article yes! If you think this article is useful, share it with your other friends.

In the next article, I will explain the differences of main armor, base armor, and additional armor. Please wait!
