TF2 Weapon of the Week: Dead Ringer

In TF2 there are Many things that People have Hated over the Years, however no Spy Weapon was Hated more then the Dead Ringer

The Dead Ringer is a PDA Weapon for the Spy, I allows the Spy to Basically Fake his death, at the cost of being able to Freely cloak.

When it Activates the Dead Ringer will Produce a fake corpse and displays a fake kill notification to the enemy team. it Cloaks the spy, and will Halve the Damage the Original Hit Triggered, If the Original Hit does enough damage to Kill the Spy(Without the Halved Damage from DR's Cloak), It will kill Regardless if you had the Dead Ringer Active. so In Order to Fake his Death, the Spy must have Enough Health to Survive the Hit without the Damage Resistance.

Within the First few Seconds of the DR's Cloak the Spy is Immune to Long-Term Afterburn, and Gains a Large Speed Boost for 3 seconds.

The Main Downside to using the DR is its the only Invis-watch that cannot be Refilled with Ammo Packs and the Dispenser, The only way you can Refill the Feign Meter is by waiting, getting kills with the Big Earner, landing Shots with the L'Etranger, and Touching the Resupply cabinet. There is no Other way to Instantly Refill the Feign Meter.

Simply "dying" from fall damage is a sure sign that you're a Spy. To make your feign death more convincing, consider disguising as an ally or letting the enemy damage you for a bit before taking out the Dead Ringer, giving them a false sense of security as you change disguises. However, the Dead Ringer has an extremely loud decloaking sound, making it very difficult to just decloak right behind an enemy. Taking damage while cloaked will decrease your Cloak time, so prioritize finding a safe spot. While you cannot be revealed by enemies hitting or colliding with you, effects such as fire, bleeding, or Jarate will still work and Reveal your Location.
