TF2 Weapon of the Week: Backburner

Welcome back to Weapon of the Week. Today we are talking about one of Pyro's Flamethrowers. this Weapon is Kinda Weird it's the Backburner

The Backburner as you can see Above does 100% critical chance when attacking the Behind, Like the other Flamethrowers it heals 20 Health when Extinguishing Teammates, with the downside of it costing 50 Ammo to Airblast instead of the Regular 20 Ammo on Stock.

It is most useful when playing the Flank/Ambush Style to use the upsides to it's fullest potential.

While the Stats seem balanced the Hitboxes for the "Back" of a foe is Rather inconsistent and is Unreliable to Predict. Plus the Airblast Cost Downside is pretty Harsh for the Pyros who like to Reflect Projectiles. this Forces Pyros to use their Airblasts Wisely

It is Very Fun to get the Jump on a Heavy Medic Combo from Behind and killing them Both in a Matter of Seconds.

Competitively this weapon is not as Good as Stock or the Degreaser. But this Weapon can Work when it's Upsides are Abused.

The Scorch Shot and Detonator are great Secondary Options for this weapon, as Both Weapons Allow Pyro to do his own Ghetto Rocket Jump or the "Flare Jump" Which can Open Up many Flank Options to Help the Backburner. and the Shotgun is just a good Option for Every Flamethrower Especially when you Run out of ammo. which is Easy to do with the Backburner.

And that is the Backburner.
