TF2 Trivia: Demoman

Ok I Know I have been Talking about TF2 for a while Now but I cannot help it. I love this game so much.

Anyway we are going into some Trivia about The Demoman.

This was supposed to be Posted Alongside the Demoman Basics Guide(which was supposed to be a Video) But I have Ran Into Problems into the Editing Process of that Video. So you guys are getting the Demoman Trivia Now.

So lets Learn About a Black Scottish Cyclops

1. Demoman is the first class to get an Alternate Playstyle (or Subclass). the DemoKnight

2. Demoman's voice actor, Gary Schwartz, also voices Heavy

3. The beta prototype of the Demoman was supposed to have a stereotypically Scottish appearance, consisting of pale skin and red hair. It was later dropped for a black Scottish character both because the former lacked originality and because the latter was easier to differentiate from the other classes.

4. Demoman's Full name is Tavish Finnegan DeGroot. Which has Traces of Scottish, Irish, and Dutch

5. Demoman Claims he has Fought the Lochness Monster, It is Unknown if he actually did.

6. The DeGroot family coat of arms' motto is "Regionem Caecorum", which is Latin for "country of the blind", This is a Reference to the Fact that Every DeGroot, (Except for Tavish) Lost Both Eyes to Explosives

7. The seal in the portrait Above Says "In Regionem Caecorum Rex Est Luscus." In English, this is translated to "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king". Which is Foreshadowing The Event In which Demoman Lost his Eye.

8. Demoman Lost his eye on Halloween Night, In which his Mother Had him get a House Cleaning job because "The Ghouls Would vanish in one day", During that day Demoman Found a Cursed Book, In which to Prevent the Book from possessing him, It Tore Tavish' Eye out and The Book possessed That Instead.

9. Demoman's Parents, collected the young Tavish from the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans, revealing themselves as his true parents. They explained that he was abandoned at birth until his skills manifested themselves, a longstanding, cruel, and wholly unnecessary tradition among the Highland Demolition Men.

10. While Im at it. The Males of the DeGroots are all Demomen.

11. Finally the last Fact. Demoman has had Several Class Logos, In the Beta he had a Stick of Dynamite, When the game first came out it was a Bomb, Today it is currently a sticky bomb as of the November 19, 2010 Patch.
