- The Pyro's voice actor, Dennis Bateman, also voices the Spy class.

- Originally the Flamethrower had a Hose connecting the Flamethrower to the Gas Canister on Pyro's Back, This was Removed in the Release version
- Additionally the Hose is still visible in the HUD Model of the Flamethrower.
- Interestingly, when equipping the Shotgun, the Pyro pulls back once on the pump as if ejecting a spent shell, while the Engineer, Soldier, and Heavy do not. This may result from the fact that the game files indicate that there are separate Shotguns for each class that equips one.
- The Shotgun is set up as a "Left-Handed" model (as shown by the ejection port being visible on the left hand side of the gun) instead of the vastly more common "Right-Handed" set-up, where the ejection port would be found on the opposite side.

- The Third Degree is the only weapon in the Game where it's stats are a Straight Upgrade of Stock with no Downsides
- The Hot Hand was called the Slap Attack on the Jungle Inferno Day 4 Update page, likely referencing an old name considered during development but later scrapped in favor of its current one. Valve has since silently fixed the page.
- The Flare Gun was first seen in Meet the Sniper and had not been revealed to the public at the time of the video's release.
- the Sharpened Volcano Fragment was originally intended to be a Reskin of the Axtenguisher.
