Pokemon: FEAR Tactics

in #gaming8 years ago

So, In Pokemon there is a tactic known as FEAR.

FEAR is an Acronym, it stands for Focus sash Endeavor Quick Attack Rattata. and the Term mean Any Level 1 Pokemon that can Bring down a level 100.

The Tactic uses the fact that Rattata can Abuse The fact that Quick attack usually goes first and that Endeavor can bring a foe down to 1HP.

Over time FEAR Tactics started to Develop and multiple different versions of FEAR come into the Meta.

The Versions are as follows.
1 for 1, Sweeper, Hazard, Status Stall, and Trick Room.

And today I'm just going to talk about two of them, 1 for 1 and Sweeper.

1 for 1s are the Standard Rattata Sets. the moves are as Follows, Endeavor, Quick attack, Pursuit, and Protect. and You must either have the ability Sturdy or be holding a Focus sash. Out of the Users of that Tactic Taillow is the best user because it gets the ability Scrappy, which allows Normal and Fighting Type moves to hit Ghost types. Pikachu is also Notable, as at level 21 it learns Feint, which goes though protect, just note that Pikachu does not learn Pursuit.

Just be Weary of Priority moves, Statuses, Leftovers/Berries, Ghost Types(unless using Taillow), Rocky Helmet, Substitute, and Multi-hit moves.

Now for the Sweeper Sets, there are Two FEAR Sweepers, Aron, and Smeargle.

Smeargle is Unique in the fact that it can Learn Almost every Move in the game with it's signature move Sketch. So Smeargle can use Spore to put foes to sleep after it has been knocked to 1 HP. and on Turn 2 it uses Trick Room, this Guarantees that Smeargle moves first because it will be slower, then use Endeavor and finish with a Priority move or Dragon Rage.

Smeargle is considered a Sweeper because it has access to Spore and Trick Room.

The other and more Reliable Level 1 Sweeper is Aron. Aron has Strudy, meaning you can use the item slot for a Health Recovery item, I recommend Shell Bell as one Endeavor will guarantee Aron to be put back to full HP. Now this can be countered with Mold Breaker or similar abilities. Now Aron should be used with a Sandstorm user or a Toxic Spikes Setter so you can Quickly take care of foes after just Endeavor. But in case you don't have either Aron does learn Toxic and Sandstorm, so it works out.

And that is the idea of the FEAR sets, there are well Made Guides on FEAR sets online so go find them and study them if you want to use really Stupid as hell tactics.

I am Ultra and those are FEAR pokemon.
