Games. Story or Gameplay?

Here is a Question, Should a Game's Story be Made around the Gameplay? or Should the Gameplay Be Made around the Story?

Personally, I say Both.

In the same way as gameplay making the interaction with video games unique, video games are a unique story telling medium as well. It's the closest you can get to literally living an experience that you haven't lived. It stimulates multiple senses and you live the experience of a believable world that needs to be properly fleshed out to function properly in a game. It's also the most in depth way to explore a new world. You can literally talk to the characters, interact with them, and change the story.

I Agree with this Quote, Both are Important for a Game in the Modern Era, The Story is what Makes People Replay a Game Nowadays(in the older Days, they made the Games insanely Difficult to add Replay-ability).

They Gameplay is what Makes a game fun to play, If it's Bad then why would you want to see the Story of a game that Plays Awfully.

The Two Depend on Each other more then anything.

Even if a Game had Good Gameplay, if a Story is bad or Non-existent then it would make the Replay more Repetitive.
If it has a Good story but Bad Gameplay then People would just Watch the Cutscenes and Not Play the Game.

So by Default for a Modern Game to be Good, The Story Needs to suit the gameplay, and Vice Versa.

Those are my Two Cents.
