Take a look a Classic: Pharaoh

Pharaoh

It is a classic strategy video game, with a style similar to that of SimCity set in Ancient Egypt, developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra Entertainment for Microsoft Windows in 1999. It concerns the construction and management of settlements and cities in Ancient Egypt. Pharaoh is based on the same gameplay as Caesar III many of the gameplay mechanisms are identical to its predecessor, the strategy is remarkably different in order to adapt to its environment. Pharaoh, while it may look a lot like other games from the same company, offers enough innovation to make things interesting. The main objective of the game is to create a prosperous city, favorably supplied with food, ordinary and luxury resources so that the population is in an optimal state of approval, in order to make progress in the city's housing to reach the maximum possible development or complete the various missions entrusted.

The game simply begins, requiring the city to move forward by creating jobs and homes to attract settlers. Once its population begins to grow, it must ensure that settlers have access to food and water, religious facilities, entertainment and other luxuries to attract a larger, wealthier population. You must also ensure that your people are protected by an appropriate militia. We will have to start collecting natural resources to be able to produce and distribute goods. Most goods require natural resources to be produced, and many of these resources must be imported. Many of the goods must be imported as well, and you must manage the distribution of these items to ensure that everyone is getting enough of what the settlers need to survive and can make effective progress. Imports can be expensive, so you must also produce goods for export.

Gameplayability

One of the differences between SimCity is that managing your city in Pharaoh is a very practical experience. With the only exception of the houses, which will be modernized according to the nearby services, you decide exactly what type of building will be placed in each place. Warehouses and industrial buildings should be close enough to residences for goods to be easily accessible, but not so close that they lower the value of the property. The same principle applies to markets, which distribute food and luxury goods to their people.

The game has a complex agricultural system based on the annual flooding of the Nile. Some areas of the city map along the river are designated as floodplains, which are flooded by the Nile once a year, and only farms and roads can be built on these lands. The magnitude of the flooding in the fertile soil determines how efficient the farms will be in the time of cultivation, and the ancient Egyptian scenario of the game leads to some other interesting new features. Regular flooding of the Nile River requires you to produce or import enough food to last the entire flood season. Poor flooding can lead to food shortages, so satisfying the god of flooding, Osiris, becomes a priority. The system of religion in Pharaoh has also improved since Caesar III, satisfying the gods is now a higher priority, but there are fewer gods to deal with in each scenario, which makes it a little less complicated.

The game is so entertaining and provides so many options in the design and management of your city, The management elements will be divided into population, agriculture, industry, storage and distribution, among others. Although the game looks difficult it will be simple after you catch on to the trick I hope you enjoy the game.
