What Games To Buy For Christmas, Day 2; Overwatch
What is Overwatch
Overwatch is an online First Person Shooter developed by Blizzard Entertainment, was released on May 24 2016.
Back Story
Thirty years into the future humanity develops intelligent machines called the Omnics. Which after awhile the Omnics become self aware, and turn on mankind this was known as the "Omnic Crisis". In retaliation against the Omnics the UN establishes an international task force called Overwatch. They were able to stop the Omnics, but after a while due to various reasons the UN dismantled the organization while making any Overwatch activity outlawed.
Gameplay
Instead of me talking about the gameplay I will just show all of you in this video I made.
Presentation
All I can say about Overwatch's presentation is that this game looks like it was ripped out of a Pixar movie, and that's one of the great things that it has going for it.
Final Thoughts
I am not a big online gamer, but I keep on coming back to play more of Overwatch. One thing that stands out to me is that each character that you play as has there own lines of dialogue and they have there own personalities. Unlike in most online shooters where you play as a nameless/faceless solder. In fact Blizzard actually pokes fun at this with the character Solder 76. I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves online shooters, or to people that want a way to get started in these types of games. You can get Overwatch on PC for $40, and on XBOX ONE and PS4 for $60(PS4 version on sell for $40 til tomorrow).
