Success and Failure
When I thought of writing this post, it wasn't up to 30 mins when Messi lost a sweet penalty . Suddenly, the below picture was released and got me thinking.
Messi is a well organized and recognized footballer. He has won several awards amongst them is best footballer and before the world cup, he was considered the best in the world. Due to the events that happened in today's match, people have been saying totally different things about him and it hit me that
people celebrate failure faster than success
NOTE Nobody likes you when you fail but people will surely recognize you when you are succeeding. So keep succeeding.
It's not new, he has been called a "pecho frío" for the longest time, Messi either doesn't care, or can't handle the pressure of playing in the national team and a big part of the football world judges him for it, he always disappears when he has to carry the team, specially at finals.
But why does he put his 101% when playing for his club but kinda less concerned when it comes to his home country. Asin he has really disappointed alot of people because people expect much from him and Ronaldo in this world cup
nobody really expects that much from Ronaldo because everyone is aware that save for him, Portugal is a b team, unless they play an amazing defensive football and stop allowing goals, I don't see them getting too far, Meanwhile if you see Argentina's squad you will see most of the players are in the best teams in the world, in the best leagues.
As for why does Messi not give his all for the team...I really can't answer that...maybe he doesn't feel he belongs?, he has spent a lot of his life in Barcelona, that's his house, that's who he owes everything...he never even played for an argentinian team before playing in Barcelona, so maybe he just doesn't have an emotional connection with the national team, unlike Ronaldo who wants to give Portugal the title and he gives his all every game
How will a good player like Messi not have that emotional connection ?? For crying out loud it's his national team, if his mind isn't with them then he shouldn't be there
