Legend of Zelda Coming to Mobile

Nintendo has begun expanding into the mobile market and so far, their titles have been good. For some gamers though, Super Mario Run was simply not what they wanted – those gamers are a minority though, based on sales of the game. Fire Emblem was the next “real” game to come to mobile from Nintendo and it has done better. Up next will be Animal Crossing. So far, these mobile ports have been close to their console and hand held counterparts. The Legend of Zelda is up in the air as to what type of game it will be though.

According to the Wall Street Journal, The Legend of Zelda is coming to mobile. There are no details as to exactly what type of game gamers can expect though. I will throw a royal freaking hissy fit if it is some kind of B.S. bow and arrow game though – keep that crap on the Wii.

What we will probably get is a cross between Breath of the Wild (graphics) with the first Zelda game (single screen battles) that feature a control scheme appropriate for touch screens. That is what I am thinking we will get.

Now what Nintendo actually gives us will probably be a remake of the fishing mini game from Link’s Awakening on the Game Boy. Or we may end up getting an endless runner like Temple Run. What do you want to see in a mobile Zelda game?
