It's been a year since Godfire became the game of the year, and now Godfire's latest update is back in Vivid Games in 2015. Vivid Games has a pretty good reputation for developing cool games like Real Boxing. Vivid Games as developers hope Godfire games can be the successor to the popularity of God of War. Similar graphics and gameplay features, complete with Kratos-style main characters make Godfire a complete package of God Of War successors on a smartphone.

If you've ever played God of War games, then you certainly will feel the situation is not so different from this game. In a way, Godfire - Rise of Prometheus is God of War mobile version. The story, the game situation, and the combat were very similar. The viewing angle of the game uses a third-person point of view, so the character movement in action will be obvious. Here you play a role as Prometheus, who struggles to defeat the sun god, Helios. Prometheus apparently also has a mission to steal godfire, a gift to mankind. This story is certainly only a pun of Greek mythology only. In addition to fighting against an enemy that feels endless, you are also treated to a mini-game. For example, when switching a folder through a door, then you must solve the puzzle. There are few RPG elements in this game. Your character will be awarded one point for each level, which can be used to add health status, attack or defense.

Interface

Although the graphical display, cutscene and character of this game is pretty cool, but the supporting elements and other gameplay is still average and not much different from other games. Detailed game background can make iPhone or iPad a bit lag, but overall the performance of this game is quite smooth. In this game, we will play Promotheus figures who have to fight past 7 levels of obstacles to be able to defeat Helios the sun god and steal Godfire for some reason which is not explained in detail. The story of this game is far from the adaptation of the mythical story may be as an alternative from the developer to add various other imaginary figures of mythology into it. We will pursue Helios through ancient temples and ex-war towns to reach the Godfire. Each level of this game does look impressive but the overall gameplay is still standard, especially when it must fight to beat the minions to achieve enemy boss. The strange thing is that when you have to complete some puzzles to continue the mission, the puzzle is too easy and even seem to make it up.

Features

Armory systems with various customizations are also provided just like God of War uses the coins obtained during the game, we can upgrade various weapons and armor. The fight is quite fun, using a dual sword we can attack with a combination of movement to produce combos attack similar to God Of War. Each attack feels solid and more exciting with the ability to do a full blood finishing to produce health and wrath for a special attack. But the defense is very weak, dodge roll is very difficult to do even difficult to determine the direction of dodge roll including when doing blocking attack opponent. Sometimes avoiding actually even make us exposed to other opponent's weapon. The emerging enemies are also not too full like God Of War, so really rely on a strategy to go through a certain level of difficulty that requires the right weapons and armor when running a mission. As always, each location allows us to explore it to get unique items and puzzles by opening a treasure chest like God Of War. Increasing the level and statistics of players into its own challenge, the shortest way is to buy it with real money. No need to spend real money, if you want to continue to play games and complete the actual mission will be enough available gold / coins to upgrade weapons and armor required. Battle and upgrade Promotheus in this game is fun, but it did not take long to feel bored and monotonous. There are only a few types of minions and monotonous attacks do not change tactics so it feels boring. Bossing against enemy Boss is a bit more challenging, at least at the beginning, but then after a while you will realize how much this game is lacking new ideas. Every one of six enemy bosses, using a similar attack method is enough with a very simple strategy to get rid of it. Godfire's battle mechanism is still not strong enough even there is a repetition of enemy boss that we have ever opposed before, very unfortunate. Some other repetitions can also be done by playing different levels of difficulty by taking time attack or survival game mode. Overall this Godfire is one good example of how a mobile game should be created and created by maximizing the hardware support capabilities of today's smartphones.

Control characters

Controls when you walk freely differ from the control when you are a combatant. It sounds confusing if you have not tried it yourself, but it's in your favor. Especially when you are at the highest level of difficulty, where the speed of the hand to push the button is needed. When running freely, the joystick is used to determine the direction, while at the time of the combat, the joystick will turn into a dodge button. If you feel annoyed with the virtual joystick display on screen, you can also disable this option and the control will change using tap on screen automatically. Most hack and slash games have only two or three attack options, calculated according to the resulting damage; fast attacks and heavy attacks for example. This game still has the option of attack, coupled with a combination of other moves that you can use in a fight. You can combine two quick attacks to end with one heavy attack to produce a combo.

Monster

The enemies we will fight have different stature, with different weapons but basically, they are the same shape. The lack of variation of this monster makes me quickly bored. The game becomes repetitive after reaching the middle of the story. How not, I am required to fight more or less the same enemies throughout the story. My character's detailed drawing is inversely proportional to the depiction of enemy characters. The controls on the character are very reponsive and I admit, even more responsive than other hack and slash games. But the camera control at the time of combat in my opinion is very disturbing. Sometimes I just have to swirl to avoid the enemy just because my sword attack is not about my opponent.
