I am 100% with you on the cables, it was a schoolboy error really I fed them through the bottom slot without even trying to think where they would attach to the motherboard and what they would block on it popping out from that slot. I'm going to re-organise that when some extension cables arrive so I hook the fans upto motherboard Case fan slots 1 and 2 - unfortunately keeping the cables behind the motherboard meant the fan cables would not reach these so I had to use 3 and 4 which makes no difference as far as I can tell except you can't really see what they are running at. The benchmarks are for the next post - I want to get as many posts as I can out of this!
