The Basics

You start out in fallout 4 in your suburban home with your wife, newborn son, and robot. Out of nowhere disaster strikes, and you and your family are forced to take refuge in a vault. After running through the motions, and exiting the vault; the player will find him/herself in a new world, torn by war. The controls are nearly the same as the last fallout games, so the player should not have an issue there.

Graphics

The graphics are really a step up from the last game. But they also stick with a similar graphics style which i really like. Additional mods can be added that will further enhance the graphics as long as the player's device can handle it. The game runs exceptionally well, but does have frame dips in areas like the city. All in all i like the graphics.

The Lore

Fallout 4 does a great job of sticking true to the lore. There are some people like the brotherhood of steel, which were in previous games. There is also animals from the fallout games like the deathclaw, mole rat, and more. They did a decent job of keeping fallout 4 relative to the past games, and i appreciate that.

Customization

Bethesda upgraded from there last game by adding custom weapons, armor, and apparel. Everything can be tailored to how you want it, as long as you have the correct skills for it. A pistol can have nearly every part replaced to make it how the player wants. (As well as all weapons).

Power Armor

Power armor has become such a large part of fallout 4. With tons of sets to find scattered across the wasteland, the player can almost never find all of them. The same customization for armor and weapons applies to all power armor. Allowing you to have a personal sets, different from all others. This was a large edition, and i really liked it.

Building

Building is such a large implementation into fallout 4. This allows the player to makes "Settlements", and invite other npc's to join them. While you may think building a settlement is a waste of time, i think not. Once a settlement is made, all followers gained can stay there, and every once in a while raiders will attack. This means you need to add turrets, guard posts, traps, and more. It really gives you a lot to do. One thing i do not like, is how you can only build atop of a previous settlement. But this can easily be fixed with a mod.

Dialog

Just like eso, fallout 4's dialog has been streamlined. With you now only having 4 options: Yes, No, Sarcastic, and Questioning.
A lot of people do not like the new system, and neither do i. I do not have the freedom as i did in past games.

Factions

There are 4 new factions in fallout 4: Minutemen, Brotherhood Of Steel, The Railroad, and The Institute. Each of these factions have there own rewards, quest lines, and outcome. Each one shapes the wasteland differently, so you must choose wisely.
All the factions seem realistic enough, and are all trying to help the wasteland in there own way. And i really like that.

Combat

Not much to talk about here, but the combat has pretty much stayed the same. Do not fix what is not broken i guess.

Ending

All in all fallout 4 is a great game. I believe anyone that likes story based games, with tons of lores, secrets, and places to explore should pick this tittle up.
