I think it's really important for him to develop an appreciation for the classics before he gets lost in the new stuff. Waiting on the day that there is an history of video games course that I can teach haha! You are right though, he deserves to make the decision on what type of gamer he will be on his own. Right now he just enjoys sitting on my lap and throwing Mario's cap around in Odyssey. The force is strong with that one!
