I reckon the first one there "tell dev about steem"is harder than you think. I tried posting about our game jam on a game dev discord group. It was ignored and there are comments along the line of "crypto = ICO = scam"
ahh, yea I would expect that tbh. I think making a pool of resources that allow for easier onboarding would help. Maybe even change the way we introduce them to Steem.
Like, instead of saying
"Steem is a blockchain that gives you crypto currency for your posts."
we should word it as
"Steem is a platform that offers support for developers where you can actually earn a little bit of money from the vast supportive audience."
Asking people to throw away their pre-conceived ideas about cryptos can be tough. Mainstream media really did a fucking number on blockchains reputation because of all the Bitcoin hype. And, of course, rampant ICO scams don't help.
I think we'd have better luck if we got developers to realize they're interacting with a blockchain after they start using Steem. That way, they can truly form their own opinions.
