Hello guys and welcome to another game review from me. I am ardent fan of games that have great visuals and flush adrenaline into the veins. Today, I’ll be reviewing the infamous Asphalt 8. As we all know, this is a racing game and it’s undoubtedly one of the most popular racing games in our world now ……. a competitor with the need for speed series.

GRAPHICS

The Asphalt series has always been know to have great visuals as gameloft pays attention to details and neatness. The locations are top notch and every thing about it clean. In the settings option, you can decide the graphic quality you want your game to be in. So people with high performance phones can actually opt for the highest quality and if you device is not a high performance phone and it’s lagging, you can decide to reduce the graphics. This will reduce the performance your device will have to go through.

CARS AND MOTORCYCLES

Asphalt 8 has a gallery of 208 CARS AND TEN MOTORCYCLES.

These contains luxury cars and bikes that I never thought I’d be driving. Lol. I now drive luxury cars in Asphallt. So Amazing. Cars like the MERCEDES s600, MERCEDES BANZ CLA CLAS, SCVION FR-S. ALFA NROMERO, MITO NGTA, MCLAREN 12C, BGERAND SPORT VITTESSE. Rolls Royce wraith. Ferarri f430, Laferrari.. Chevrolet ss, HTT plethore LC 750. BMW m3 SEDAN. All these luxury cars could only be bough through in-game purchases but
Now most of them can be unlocked or assembled by winner kits and parts from special races. Or parts and kits can be delivered through daily rewards when you connect your phone to the internet while inside the game.

LOCATIONS

The games contains a lot of fascinating locations that are real life and there are a few futuristic race tracks like the sector B. Now, this Sector B zone might actually be real but it doesn’t seem real to me though. Other locations are as follows here ; PATAGONIA, SAN DIEGO HARBOUR,ICELAND, FRENCH GUANNA, SECTOR B, BARCELONA, LONDON, ALPS,VENICE, TOKYO,MONACO, AZURE COAST, NEVADA, TENERIFE,, RIO DE JANEIRO, MUNICH, MUNICH SUBWAY.

SOUNDTRACK.

The game contains a lot of amazing musics that help to add the adrenaline rush in the player. My favourite of the soundtracks is “Over it” by The crystal method. You can choose between three genres of music to be played while you are racing ;** BASS,ROCK,ELECTRONIC. **

CONTROLS

Players are given four control options so they can choose any one that best suits them. I however opt for the Tilt to steer option as I find that one easier to use.

*. Onscreen control - auto acceleration with movement controlled by an on screen virtual steering wheel

*. Tap to steer - auto acceleration with movements controlled by tapping the sides of the line

STUNTS

Cars can do flat spins and barrel rolls.

Flat spins can be done by drifting your car before you climb the ramp. The car will rotate in whatever direction you are drifting to as many times as possible while you are airborne before you reach the ground. In some cases, when performing flat spins, players can get carried away and steer the airborne car out of the race track.

Barrel rolls are done when the car climbs up an almost twisted ramp. The car will surge forward and turn like a screwdriver while its airborne till it touches the ground.

**All jumps and drifts earn nitro. Players can continue to drift to earn nitro boosts. **

The Asphalt 8 airborne has a feature called perfect Nitro and this can be initiated when the nitro button is pressed. A little red bar will be visible in the nitro bar. If the player strikes the nitro button when the red bar starts to reduce, the car will propel forward even faster.

For the bikes, there is an SUPER CHARGED feature, this can be gotten to when a lot of stunts have helped to increase the purple bar dedicated to making the bikes go into SUPER CHARGED mode. The bike will first raise into the position of a wheelie while surging so fast that you might run into the ramp without knowing. go even faster. For this super charged stage, there is also another perfect nitro feature to make the bike go even faster..

MODES

There are several modes to play in in the Asphalt 8 airborne with many amusing features and concepts. I will mention but a few.

Career Mode

This is probably the main thing. You'll play to earn stars that will unlock new stages and locations you can play in. It is divided into many areas and you get newer locations as you move from one level to another. You can only unlock a new level by getting a number of stars from the previous levels.

Moto Blitz

This is like the career mode for motorcycles. You have to meaat up with some challenges before you unlock new levels or chapters. This is relatively easy until you move to the second challenge... That's where the sweat it.

Quick Solo Race

This is just like a quick race. You will be playing against computer animated players and this is mostly for fun or practice.. There are no cash rewards here and it doesn't affect your overall performance in the game.. Inaide this section, you can play the revers of all locations in the game.

Daily Tasks

This are challenges given to players daily to earn rewards and make more credits. You will be give chances to perform some tasks and you get the rewards following.

**Local Wi-Fi **

The normal multi-player stuff. You connect your Wi-Fi to a friends hotspot and you guys race against each other along with other computer animated players.

OVERALL THOUGHT AND REVIEW

I love this game, no doubt. I’ve always been a fan of racing games and so far Asphalt has been the only game I’ve been enjoying for sometime. I downloaded this game with data I bought and till now I do not regret it.

GRAPHICS

The graphics are top notch like I’ve discussed up there. The skies, the blur that appears when your ride is moving very fast and the stunts you get to see when you perform it.

GAMEPLAY

The game contains several modes although it does not have a story line but who the heck cares? Asphalt 8 airborne is the life. Maybe I’m just an asphalt freak though. It’s the only tame I’ve played for more than four months and haven’t gotten tired of playing.

You can play the levels and move from there till the top levels. You could also just want to have some fun ride and go into the QUICK SOLO RACE, MASTERY, LOCAL WI-FI (For multi-players connecting via their hot spots and wi-fi) OR ASPHALT TRACKER.

Now I’ve only been playing QUICK SOLO RACE, MOTO BLITZ (From season 1 -13. all bike racing), DAILY TASKS AND CAREER MODE..

SOUNDTRACK

The soundtracks are an A-plus cos I enjoy every music in the game. I have even downloaded some of those songs personally on my phone and they rock.

Frankly, If you are looking for a game that will get you that adrenaline rush, Asphalt 8 airborne is the game to go for. It’s ever green, you do not get tired of it. Another plus about it is, you can divert the whole game file to your memory card instead of it being restricted to just your phones inner memory. Patiently waiting here for the release of Asphalt 9
