PUBG Guide | A game of skill, perseverance and luck

"Good mornin-afternoo-vening dear steemians, this is a particular type of post since it’s only the second time I’m posting exclusively a video, since it’s all about commentary on a particular round of the game and you have to see what it is that I talk about.

It’s also somewhat special since I’ll be talking about Player Unknown’s Batllegrounds - as opposed to my usual old-school/retro RPGs and city builders - which I’ll be referring to as PUBG from now onward, the original title is quite the mouthful, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Now this is a game that I’ve been playing and thoroughly enjoying for the past few months. In fact, it was one of the more recent reasons for me finally getting around to building my Ryzen 5 rig... video editing and rendering times notwithstanding.

But anyway, what the video’s about isn’t some super secret tactic, tip or trick, since honestly I’m generally sub-mediocre at the game, there are many other much better youtubers out there who make PUBG content on the regular like WTFMOSES, JackFrags or WackyJacky 101 and I’m sure there’s many more, but these tend to be the guys I watch on occasion, who are actually good at the game and can offer some valid tips and analysis.

What I’ll be showing you in this video, of the final twenty minutes of one of my rounds - which I’ve edited down for brevity’s sake since it features a lot of non-actiony activities, is how PUBG isn’t at all about just one thing, it doesn’t boil down to the shooting aspect or twitch reflexes, instead it’s more like equal parts skill, perseverance and luck - which kinda makes it sound like life now that I say it out loud.
