World of Warcraft is now available only with subscription

Before the launch of Battle for Azeroth a new change has been implemented by Blizzard regarding the content of World of Warcraft. Apart from Battle of Azeroth itself, all of the content from the game can be played now just by subscribing, subscription has a cost of 14.99 USD, so now it's much easier for new players to come in, since by subscribing you are already unlocking all playable content up to their sixth expansion: Legion.

It is not certain if this change will be permanent, sources like Polygon say it seems to be but that they have reached out to Blizzard for comment regarding the choice.

Overwatch's new hero will go live on July 24th

Video Source: Blizzard

Wrecking Ball, Overwatch's newest hero is a tank class and has a ton of cool abilities to switch things up starting from July 24!

According to Blizzard, via IGN Wrecking Ball's abilities are:

  • Quad Cannons: Wrecking Ball fires machine guns
  • Adaptive Shield: Grants Wrecking Ball a number of temporary shields based on the number of enemies nearby
  • Roll: Wrecking Ball transforms into a sphere with increased speed
  • Grappling Claw: While in Roll mode, Wrecking Ball can launch a short grappling hook to attach to surfaces, swing around, clear gaps, and move upwards. Using this ability allows Wrecking Ball to gain momentum, dealing damage and knocking back enemies upon impact
  • Piledriver: Wrecking Ball slams down from the air, pulling enemies towards the center of impact and dealing damage
  • Minefield (Ultimate): Wrecking Ball litters the ground around him with damage-dealing proximity mines.

Sounds pretty cool to me! Check out Wrecking Ball when it goes live on Jylu 24th!

I used to play WoW, and before that I played Everquest, which I thought was probably the best game I ever played. Not that I played that many but in EQ, I really liked the raids that had to be set up to go to the place where the biggest bosses were, (the name escapes me), and you had to have a good plan and good team to defeat them all.

I got pretty bored with WoW because it didn't have that teamwork kind of element that EQ did.

Waw fantastik

I'm not a huge fan of games like this. I mainly play War Thunder, Kerbal Space Program, and Cities skylines to give an idea of my playstyle. But I have enjoyed Leauge of Legends and just got Just Cause 3 XL from the Humble Store for a discount. Overwatch looks hilarious now that wrecking ball is there, can't wait to see some gameplay with him!
