Masahiro Sakurai is working on his next Super Smash Bros title and in his own words, he knows he can't disappoint a player fanbase that is expecting something massive, truly ultimate.

So many things have been announced and they keep announcing more every day, so, for you to get all of the announcements in one place, I'm making a rundown of everything that has been said so far and also what fans think about what there will be on the game. I'll divide this into several sections:

Characters
Echo Characters
Stages
Music
Misc.

And much more things will be announced so keep on reading and catch up before there's too many things to even make a list:

Characters

So, so many characters have been added to the roster, apart from the mind-boggling amount that is bound to be there already (Ultimate is the product of a great effort to put ALL characters ever featured in a Smash game, and the franchise has 4 installments so far, full of characters each.) so let's check out what has been announced!

Inkling: Inkling from Splatoon was revealed at E3 earlier this year, as one of the newcomers with unique abilities and 8 different appereances.

Ridley: The hugely requested antagonist from Metroid was also revealed at E3. Sakurai had said in the past that adding Ridley would take away his quality as a boos due to the significant changes he would have to undergo, however, the requests were such that he is finally introduced.

King K. Rool: Stright out of Donkey Kong, another greatly beloved character, Crocodile antagonist King K. Rool had everyone hyped upon announcement.

Echo Characters

Echo characters are the alternate version of already existing characters, and the ones announced so far are:

Chrom: From Fire Emblem, Chrom joins the stage after being introduced at the Nintendo Direct from August 8th.

Daisy: A little belatedly if you ask me, Daisy was added as Peach's echo character on the E3 presentation.

Dark Samus: The echo from Power Suit Samus looks sleek and beautifully designed. It was announced on the Nintendo Direct of August 8th.

Simon and Richter Belmont: Also from Castlevania, these Vampire hunters instead of one being an echo character of another already in the game, Simon and Richer both join the stage simultaneously as echoes of each other.

Characters that have not been in the smash games for long, such as Metal Gear's Snake and Starfox's Wolf have been completely revamped, and regular characters such as Mario and Link have been improved in minimal but significant ways. Mario, for example, features his Odyssey hat and Link his Ancient Bow.

Stages

Graphics have been improved on older stages as well as many new ones added to the selection. The new stages are:

The Moray Towers from Splatoon and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Great Plateau were announced at E3, while Castlevania's Dracula Castle was announced on the afore mentioned Nintendo Direct, also New Donk City Hall looks incredibly fun.

There will be a new feature called Stage Morph, in which you choose two stages before battle and they match and switch randomly at times during battle to make things more challenging.

Music

Sakurai made really clear on the Nintendo Direct that the effort put into this Smash's music was giganting, with over 900 tracks in total, something that has fans praising all over.

Apart from that the Switch will have the option to play these tracks even while the screen is off, just like a regular music playlist on the go. Every stage has its custom music and you can change from whichsongs you do want to hear or not, to how often you can hear each of them. This highly customizable experience is a shiny detail that really stands out for its intuitive nature.

Misc.

Tons of items will be added, and some of them have already been shown, such as a bomber, Death's Scythe, an evil mushroom and much more.

Also, new Pokémons have been added as well, the latest being Abra, as well as alolan and regular Vulpix, Lunala, etc. Assist trophies are also expanded with the highlights being Zero from Megaman, Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog and even Shovel Knight!

Many, many changes to interface, like the format in which echo characters are shown and the indicators of how many K.O's a character has had upon being K.Oed, female versions of characters, tons of little improvements to animations, aspect and expressions and even different voice tracks for different aspects of a character really show the commitment of the team to make this game truly incredible.
