An addictive free-to-play game (PC/PS4) with not only stunning graphics. (Tiny Give-Away)
Hey good people,
today I want to present to you a free-to-play competitive game. First of, it is really free-to-play. There is no pay-to-win in this game. The only thing that you can buy from real money is cosmetics. It is a game from the MOBA genre.
What is a MOBA?
I think most of you know what the M assive O nline B attle A rena genre is. The two most popular games are League of Legends and Dota 2. The basic concept of theses games is to play in a team of 5 heroes/characters. Everyone can choose a single hero from a hero pool. During the game you level up your hero, you gain skills that you can level, you can buy items to improve your hero and so on. This idea is the RPG aspect of a MOBA. The next concept of a MOBA is the strategic element. The objective in the game is to destroy the enemy base. Each team has a base that is protected by some towers and each base spawns some minions that attack the enemy base. Your task is to support your minions, destroy the enemy towers, kill the enemy heroes and finally destroy the enemy core. In order to win a game you need to select a good team and play together. There are many roles that needs to be filled in a team. From the carry that deals the main portion of damage, to the tank that soaks all the damage and a support that helps other members of the team.
What game am I talking about?
The game I am talking about is called Paragon. It is from Epic games, the developer of the Unreal Tournament series and the Gears of War series. So they know who to do first and third person shooters.
- Paragon is the first 3D MOBA ( Yes, there is SMITE, but SMITE has no verticality in the gameplay. It is just a 2D gameplay projected to 3D).
- Paragon is cross-over. So you can play on PS4 or on PC on the same servers.
- Paragon is programmed based on the Unreal 4 engine. Really stunning graphics.
- Paragon is free-to-play with not a single pay-to-win concept. Only cosmetics can be bought with real money
- Paragon is in Open Beta and fully playable. (But there is no official ranking yet)
But videos tell you more than words. Here are two videos from the official Youtube channels. And YES this is all in-game graphics! Not pre-rendered!
What is my background?
I'm playing this game since the Early Access (1.5 years). Since then I basically only play this game. I have over 1500 hours now into this game. I love that game by heart. I already played in some small community organized tournaments. The first officially supported tournament is taking place at the moment. With a price pool of 25k. Yes this is quite small in comparison to the big ones, but this game is in Beta and not released for more than a decade. Epic games is not yet advertising this game. They said they will advertise the game at release. That is why not many people know about this game. But believe me if I say to you ..you are missing out much fun.
As I'm playing this game for many hours, I get some free codes from time to time. I have no advantage from these codes. There is no feedback for me. It is just a code, so that you get some free cosmetics in-game. Here is the code. First comes first. But do me the favor and only claim that code if u really plan to play that game.

If you are interested in some screenshots, there is a post that I did the other day, where I presented some screenshots. click me
Is that game worth a try?
Well, in my opinion of course. That is why I am making this post. But I will not give u a detailed review about this game. I am not objective. I love that game and you will not hear anything negative from me about this game. Hell... I'm playing that game for 2000 hours soonish... And all the fun for not even a cent.
Hope to see you one the battleground. Have fun good people.

Been a Smite player for a couple years then tried Paragon while in closed beta and wasn't very impressed. The gameplay was kinda slow, map was too big and everything felt a bit too clunky gameplay wise, there was no thrill in it.
The sad thing is that this is true. The old map was pretty much like that. But give it a try with the new map. Your complains are exactely what they changed. (Altough many now complain that the game is too fast now...lol). I would never call this game rdy. There is much that they need to change. But just w8 1 or 2 years. I'm very sure that it will be one of them main mobas beside dota and LoL. They don't rush it like HotS but if HotS is still a topic in 2 years...we will see.
I've been grinding this game since January. Kinda reminds me of Yugioh when it comes to the deck system. Anyways, I love it. I would also recommend giving it a try. I think the only concern I have is that it feels linear to a certain degree. My examples are taking damage inside Gideon's ult no matter how high he is, and people unable to jump over Aurora's ice ring with abilities like Khaimera and Greystone. Still, I definitely recommend playing the game. ;)
This game is great, has a nice mix of sci-fi and high fantasy.
I'd rather play warcraft in the area.
oh believe me I played Dota for 7 years :)
I'm guessing those graphics in the videos are high end though, huh? Anything else would be considered bad marketing...
Well yeah... it is the Unreal 4 enigne. There is not much more high end than this. The main problem is that you need a semi decent PC to run it. Here is a link to a screenshot lib. https://imgur.com/a/AdBTf#Mvk3f6w They will market the graphics but atm they are not really into marketing. Their objective atm is getting that game rdy. They still have no ranked.
This game isn't bad at all, if only the player base was high enough and Epic allowed more access to character rosters easier. I would totally dig in
thanks for the code
You re welcome
