Luego de haber conseguido averiguar dónde están la llave del templo mediante el animus reviviendo los recuerdos de connor, además de eso sin perder tiempo alguno Desmond se dirige a la hacienda Davenport en la actualidad para poder conseguir la llave del templo, Desmond desentierra la tumba en la cual connor ha enterrado la llave del templo y la consigue rápidamente, y de nuevo de forma inmediata se dirige al templo ya que están a contratiempo debido a que el final está muy cerca y deben ser rápidos en averiguar los secretos del templo.

Desmond finalmente ha llegado al templo pero su equipo le dice que debe poner la última batería de poder estante en el templo para darle toda la energía necesaria al templo para poder ingresar por la puerta y poder hablar con los precursores, Desmond de inmediato se pone en marcha para poder encontrar el lugar en donde poder colocar la batería de poder restante, finalmente Desmond encuentra el lugar en el templo y logra colocar la batería y vemos como finalmente la puerta el templo logra llenarse por completo de energía para que Desmond coloque la llave de poder en la cerradura de la puerta del templo.

Desmond finalmente comienza a caminar con su equipo hacía la puerta en donde está la entrada final y ver que oculta todo este templo y que mensaje ha mantenido en secreto durante años, Desmond con cuidado coloca la llave en la cerradura del templo y esta comienza a llenarse de energía y comienza a abrirse y de forma muy épica Desmond y su equipo comienzan a avanzar hacía el final del templo, Desmond y su equipo finalmente descubren un artefacto llamado el ojo el cual se encuentra en estado de hibernación, y es aquí donde finalmente aparece juno para hablar con Desmond y decirle que finalmente ha llegado al final de la travesía y que todo lo que debe hacer es tocar al ojo para poder salvar al mundo y que con su toque saldrá una nueva chispa de vida del ojo y esto salvará a la humanidad de la catástrofe que está por ocurrir, pero antes de tocar el artefacto minerva hace acto de presencia y le dice a Desmond que no toque el artefacto que bajo ninguna razón debe tocarlo y juno se sorprende de ver a minerva nuevamente en el templo.

Minerva comienza a explicarle a Desmond que no debe tocar el ojo ya que si lo hace liberará a juno al mundo y esto será peor que salvarlo, Desmond pide explicaciones a esto pero minerva se queda pensativa y juno le dice que debe decirle y Desmond le dice que le enseñe ese futuro del cual habla minerva, y es aquí donde minerva le explica que si no toca el artefacto el mundo acabará pero no será el final de la humanidad si no una nueva oportunidad de comenzar de 0, que la civilización desaparecerá, pero será el comienzo de la nueva era, y que Desmond será un líder entre los sobrevivientes, que los inspirará a progresar y a prosperar, pero que el solo es un hombre normal y corriente y mortal en sí y que morirá de vejez, pero que al morir creará un legado que finalmente lo convertirá en un símbolo de la verdad, que posteriormente lo convertirá en un dios, y que esa mismas palabras predicadas por el será convertidas en la adoctrinación de muchos y sus palabas y su legado se verá ensuciado por el mal nuevamente cayendo en las manos equivocadas.

Y que una vez haya sido corrompido el mundo nuevamente el ciclo volverá a repetirse nuevamente y todo acabará, y Desmond al ver esto queda muy desconcertado ya que ve que no hay futuro ni prosperidad en dicho futuro el cual predica minerva, a lo que juno le dice que minerva sería capaz de sacrificar a la humanidad con tal de que juno no se imponga en el mundo al ser liberada por el toque de Desmond, pero minerva dice que esto se debe a que los precursores ya le han hecho suficiente daño al mundo.

pero juno igualmente insiste que la única forma de salvar al mundo es con el toque de Desmond, finalmente Desmond interrumpe a las 2 y le dice que ya basta de discusiones, minerva vuelve a insistirle que no debe liberarla bajo ninguna razón pero Desmond le dice que ya ha tomado su decisión, pero como si fuera poco minerva le explica que si toca el artefacto él será destruido, pero juno le dice que será algo rápido que no sentirá dolor.

y es aquí donde Desmond toma la decisión final de tocar el artefacto a pesar de las terribles consecuencias que le esperan, es aquí donde Desmond le dice a su equipo y a su padre que deben irse antes de que sea tarde, pero el padre de Desmond le toma la mano y le dice que vaya con ellos que conseguirán otra forma de solucionarlo.

pero Desmond se niega y le dice que ya no queda tiempo que deben irse, finalmente el padre de Desmond en una fuerte decisión contrarreloj decide cumplir la última voluntad de su hijo y se va del templo, Desmond finalmente se pone delante del artefacto y toca el ojo, el cual comienza a emanar energía con gran fuerza impactando a Desmond de una forma brutal y se nota que su cuerpo poco a poco comienza a sufrir las consecuencias de este gran brote de energía, Desmond finalmente logra hacer que el ojo vuelva a activarse y cae al suelo rostizado y fallece finalmente,.

luego de esta brutal cinemática y que en lo personal me costó bastante dirigir debido a que Desmond fue el protagonista en la actualidad en todas las entregas posteriores a assasins creed 3, vemos que el mundo se encuentra protegido por una aureola verde creada por juno y que finalmente el mundo logra salvarse de la catástrofe gracias a Desmond y vemos aquí finalmente los créditos del juego y vemos que en una escena post crédito vemos a Desmond en el suelo muerto y juno pasa al lado de él y le dice, “has cumplido bien tu papel Desmond, ahora me toca a mi tomar el mío”, y desaparece del templo.
