[Rogue Retro Gaming] Uninvited (NES)
Today we are going to look into a horror adventure game called Uninvited which was released by Kemco and Mindscape on the NES.

Plot
You wake up in your car and the only thing you remember is a shadow on the road which led you to crash in a tree with your sister, but now your sister is gone and you are in front of a house and you have to go into the house in search of your sister.

Graphics
Aren't great but for the NES are pretty acceptable the game is in color which is a step up of it's Mac and MS-Dos releases, needless to say, this is the most graphically advanced version. Colors really set you the atmosphere of the horror house you are getting into, as well as the perils there.
Music
In the Ms-Dos and Mac version, the game has no music which some people prefer over the NES version that has music since they argue it takes you more on the creepy side of things and spooky, but I really love the music of the game on the NES it is both spooky and suspenseful and it actually does a great job of setting the tone.
Gameplay
The game consists of still images of every room that sometimes has some movement that you can interact with. You take commands like in other 'point and click' adventure games although playing it with a controller makes the game longer since you have to cycle through menus. You can exam, open, use, leave, take, close, hit or speak to things in rooms or in your inventory. The game is a lot of logic puzzles you have to get through in order to complete the game.

Like any other adventure game, the puzzles are hard and you have to get all the clues or try all to beat it. If you like 'point and click' adventure games, please give it a try, it is pretty scary for being an NES game it sure has a vibe to it. You can get the Ms-Dos version free on the internet since it's abandonware and everyone can download it and play it for free.
