[Rogue Retro Gaming] Earthbound (SNES)
Continuing with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, today we are going to go back to 1994 and play a role-playing game released by Nintendo, called Earthbound or Mother 2 in Japan. This is the first time that Ness appeared in a video game.

Plot
You play as a 10 to a 12-year-old boy named Ness (or whichever name you choose) to look for the source of a sound that woke you up from your sleep, only to find that is a meteorite that crashed into a hilltop close to your home, you then go to sleep and wake up because of your neighbor wants you to go find his brother lost in the meteorite crash. There you find a "bee" that is not a bee but someone from the future that advice you that an alien being named Giygas is going to consume the world with his hatred and turn every human and animal into evil beings, and you have to stop that with the help of three boys and a girl.

Graphics, sounds and gameplay
I feel like I have said these a lot but Earthbound does have one of the best looking and colourful graphics on the SNES, nothing seems dull in the game or like you have been over the same things over and over again. Everything has a great detailed for the SNES standards and developers put attention to every detail in the game and run super smooth.
Music is where this game excels in my opinion, it iso good that I have seen orchestra arrangements of the songs, and videos where is only the music of the game playing it is THAT good. Likewise, sound effects are great I have no complains whatsoever, all of this game is just ear candy if you don't want to play the game at least listen to the music.
First, let me start by saying that the game is pretty funny the jokes on the game are actually funny and sometimes breaks the 4th wall which is awesome and unexpected. The gameplay is an RPG with random encounters and turn-based combat system, much like Final Fantasy or Pokemon, where you encounter an enemy and then you are transported into another screen to fight him on a turn-based basis. You have to talk to almost everyone so you can have an aid in your game or get a feel for how things work. I won't tell you anything more since it will ruin the surprise the game has in store for you.

I don't recommend you this game I URGE YOU to play it if you haven't yet, since it's a lot of fun, with this corky game that makes fun of everything. Don't be deceived since it can be hard too, it equals parts difficult as it is fun. Play it, the game is on the Super Nintendo Classic edition or you can get a copy of the SNES version for as low as 13 USD on eBay.
