RE: Forced Adverts Are Ruining Mobile Phone Games

in #gaming6 years ago

Yes, mobile gaming has an audience that has no rivals if we compared it to the console market and they also cater to another type of people, that like me and you like most adults don't have the time to sit down and enjoy a proper console game so we resort to mobile.

I got your points and I too understand that when games are free they should be provided with ads to help the developers make money, and I get what you say about ads being too intrusive, but sometimes you as a developer really don't have control over which ads are going to put the player to since you are relying on ad sense, but at the same time I'm agreeing with you that they are too many they have been overcome by greed, but as long as people are still playing them and seeing the ads it isn't going to stop.

The same thing goes for microtransactions ad straight up buying the "full" game, if you put the option of buying the game you have to be able to get the full of game with no microtransactions and no ads to ruin your experience, "Hey developers you already convinced us, we are buying your full game, don't be such greeds" my problem is many of these games offer only microtransactions that are so crippling to the game that without them are virtually unplayable, again if people keep buying the norm will be the same.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the matter.

Great response to the article! Well thought and extremely valid points. I agree that there needs to be a certain extent of ads for developers to make money but when its constantly slammed down our throats, it becomes a real turn off, maybe even to the point that I never revisit the game again. Thanks for dropping by!
