There are quite a few old Sega Genesis games you can get as ROMs on Steam.
I share the same sentiment, to me (licensing aside) it should be a no-brainer to offer some legit form of emulation. At least it has become a bit more of a reality with the xbone's 2 gen backwards compatibility.
