Great post! Very informative. I am an avid board game player and have a friend who has helped some game designers in certain stages of development. We have even discussed attempting to design a game ourselves. Hopefully someday it will happen.
I believe he has even attended this event or one similar in Houston or Dallas before. Look forward to hearing how your two events go this year.
Good luck to you with that! It is an incredibly competitive industry, but Protospiel events can definitely help to give you the edge. My pal Kevin Nunn runs the Protospiel events in Houston, and has a great group of playtesters down there.
