With this news it is not possible if Assassin's Creed is located in Asia. They have discussed with some game journalists that "Dynasty" is the codename for the new Assassin's Creed game. Same with what happened to Assassin's Creed Origins where Empire became the code for making the game. This is what causes the PSU to speculate Assassin's Creed will be in one of the Asian region, namely China or Japan.

Previously Assassin's Creed series has been visited several times through China's Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China and also a short film titled Assassin's Creed: Embers. If indeed Ubisoft will continue the root of the story before, then there could still be links with Shao Jun who lived in the Ming Dynasty era. But do not rule out if Ubisoft will take different settings to the location of China. Given in Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China and Assassin's Creed: Embers, China has already been explored.
