New Gaming Computer Soon! Should I get Star Citizen?

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

Greetings everybody!

First off I just want to say how excited I am for tax return season. It will be the first time I will actually buy myself a gaming rig as opposed to building one. My rig of choice is the Ibuypower Snowblind computer. I am absolutely excited for this system.

I think the mixture of all of the newest technology in terms of the new 8th generation Coffee-lake I7 processor, DDR4 memory and the GTX 1080 ti graphics card means that I will be a very happy person for years to come. Comparing it to my current system of an i7-3770k, 16 gb ddr3 ram and an AMD R9-290x graphics card this computer is going to scream. Yes...my wallet will scream too but again, happiness does not come cheap.

While I do have many different games to finally be able to play on Steam at maximum settings, I believe my first game I truly want to put on there is Star Citizen. I have watched many videos of this game online on youtube and just feel it is something I really want to get into. What is Star Citizen you ask? Here is a video from youtube telling you.

The biggest issue I'm having currently though with my new computer is what kind of monitor to go along with it. Do I want to get a Dell 27" gsync monitor to go along at 1440p with 1ms and 144hz or do I want to go with 2 24" ASUS monitors at 1080p, 1ms and 144hz? I will spend about the same amount but I'm wondering if I would be much happier with the Dell. What do you guys think?
