Well - as a nice side thingy / freebie / cash grab (like Bethesda did with Fallout Shelter) would have been nice... but idk... I think something went horribly wrong w/ the next 'real' Diablo last minute (maybe they switched things up again internally / persoanl wise) & they had to cancel the 'big' announcement ^^

Hmm maybe that is what happened, I would rather them postpone a release than releasing a game and then day 1 patches needed to fix it.
You're right... but the plan ages beforehand / already sent out the NDA's & shit... paper work can get ugly pretty fast :/
Idk tho.... just a suspicion...
