Is SpeedCubing a Sport?
Do you like solving a Rubik's Cube? Are you a speed cuber? Or do you know someone who knows how?
Well, ask them if SpeedCubing is a sport.
Different forums of speedcubing did talk and discussed about this one, majority did agree that speedcubing is a sport.
Why?
Sport is an athletic 'ACTIVITY' that requires 'SKILLS'
Activity - solving the cube
Skills - memorizing and analyzing the algorithms needed, look ahead while solving
And according to speedsolving.com
76.3 % speedcubers agreed that speedcubing is a sport, but ofcourse these are just opinions.
