¡Video games that exceeded expectations!!

Hello Steemians...!!!
In this list I wanted to show video games in which no one believed and ended up being a complete success, either for a ridiculous concept, previous games or reaction of fans, but instead of disappoint us ended up surprising us. "As always they say do not judge a video game by its cover".
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (2014)
No one opted for Monolith Productioins an unknown company with great trajectory in video games. The title is set in the universe of The Lord of the Rings and takes place between the story of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I sincerely was not very fanatical of the Lord of the Rings, but nothing that to criticize to this game of truth enchants to me, after playing ends up being great fanatic of its films, a videojuego of role and action in third person with innovative mechanics, with spectacular combat scenarios and an engaging story. The best thing about playing Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is that it makes me feel powerful without sacrificing fear of defeat.
South Park: The Stick of Truth (2014)
Many of us are fans of the animated series South Park, for some it was not something nice to see South Park on consoles since they have been censored in several countries this game would not be the exception. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment company recognized for games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Neverwinter Nights 2, Pillars of Eternity and Fallout New Vegas.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (2004)
This game was released 2004 as a prequel to the futuristic sci-fi movie The Chronicles of Riddick. Although there was not much hope with the game received good reviews, which highlighted his good graphics and the implementation of elements of action, stealth and adventure. However, he was harshly criticized for his multiplayer and the short duration of his campaign. Some preferred the game over the film, and regarded it as an exception to the general mediocrity seen in movie-based games. It was compared to first-person shooters like Far Cry and Half-Life and to stealth games like Splinter Cell, Metal Gear and Thief series. To be honest it was a game that no one expected, but thanks to its effective and innovative combination of excellent elements of shots, melee combat, stealth and adventure.
Spec Ops: The Line (2012)
Spec Ops: The Line has been able to make a space in the agendas of the fans with a very interesting proposal and that managed to draw the attention already from the beginning taking advantage of the popularity of Call of Duty. The influence of his trailer, the thrilling plot premise and the neat ambience that it presented, made him quickly in the spotlight of the lately somewhat trite genre shooter.
The war on PC like we've never seen? That promised Spec Ops: The Line, although part of it has stayed by the way. The Yager is a remarkable action game with some very funny moments, which has lacked a point of inspiration to be really outstanding. Warlike shooter with another prism and set in an impossible Dubai to maintain and prolong the great state of form of the genre. The game Spec Ops: The Line is so extreme leading us to madness because the line that divides the good and the bad disappears and instead of ending up being a hero we become a monster.
Alien Isolation (2014)
When Alien: Colonial Marines defrauded with their lousy game, graphics. A year later with the next game of the franchise we were not very optimistic, however, the game ended up being a success because it became the science fiction classic of the 1979 film Ridley Scott. Becoming a game of suspense and horror instead of action which was very much liked in the gamer community, the game was focused on survival with a terrifying great story which made it a game gem.
Resident Evil 4 (2004)
It is cataloged as the best Resident Evil game to date and one of the best games of all time, the game underwent numerous changes even came to hear that the zombies would be eliminated. The game contains a terrifying scenario and its decisive shot in third person made this game a space among the great. a different story, with few links to what happened before, with big changes, with a game mode with more combat and less Survival Horror than previous games, and with different enemies. So much was the impact, that Capcom decided to take it to the Sony console, as it was originally released only for the Nintendo GameCube.
Guitar Hero (2005)
His idea was not the best, but surprised many on the day of its release and more with its entertaining promotional videos in which many actors are enjoying music. Although the game only needs a control to play it its developers have put in the market many accessories. No one could predict that Guitar Hero would become the most successful musical game in history. With immortal music and innovative game mechanics made it an electrifying franchise.
GoldenEye 007 (1997)
While movie-based games have not been very successful this game was the exception, the game was delayed numerous times and numerous not to say that were 2 years of delays hahahahaha. But the game charm many players by the appeal of the game, consolidating in first person shooter genre with almost perfect gameplay and incredible multiplayer up to four people to play with your friends, that's why many of us hold on to our Nintendo 64 and today can play it.
@gabox did a great review on this game https://steemit.com/gaming/@gabox/goldeneye-007-my-nintendo-64-collection-7-retro-review.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2002)
There was a lot of disappointment when Zelda changed the style of their graphics, because previous demos showed the game with more intense and realistic graphics made of this change something more disappointing, but when many placed Wind Waker in their GameCube they realized that still the game was still a classic Zelda with incredible adventures, places and traditions. Overcoming its stylistic change ended up being one of the most beautifully visually appealing games and it looks better than any 3D Zelda game to date.
The Sims (2000)
An idea not so innovative, but if very efficient and in this case was "play the house", The Sims was well advanced for its time as players were absorbed by their second virtual life, in my case I played countless hours and we demonstrated when we can invest in a world of video games even if that world is a simple home.
Kingdom Hearts (2002)
Joining the Disney and Final Fantasy characters may be a crazy idea, but it became one of Square Enix's most beloved franchises. This wonderful role-playing game made players feel exploring Halloweentown and other worlds inspired by the Disney classics, a family character you find on every corner, with amazing voices, a very addictive game and a poignant story this gameplay experience will always remain in our hearts forever.
Metroid Prime (2002)
We always know what we want, but we do not always know what is best and this game was a proof of it. Many were terrified to learn that this game changed their style to first person, also that an unknown developer was running the game also did not announce something good but we were wrong, atmospheric, creepy and insulating. Metroid Prime made the franchise famous Retro Studios
Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)
While Batman has fared better than Superman in the world of video games. Rocksteady Studios an unknown company was not content to make another mediocre game by creating Batman: Arkham Asylum instead it came with a tormenting environment, masterful controls, epic boss battles, inventive gadgets and the iconic voices of the spectacular Batman: The Animated Series . The result was astonishing the game we all expected from superheroes
