Splinterlands: Chaos Legion Phase 2 AirDrops
One of their long standing capabilities to generate value is to distribute new and valuable cards to existing players via AirDrops. This will continue with the latest edition in Chaos Legion. After a very successful presale, the team included a Phase 2 sale of Chaos Legion packs before the reveal of the cards. The attractiveness to this phase were the release of new Legendary cards via AirDrop for every million packs.
The hype was very to start the new edition and over 3 million packs were sold up to the release date of the new cards. This immediately opened two new AirDrop cards: Baakjira from the Water Splinter and Uriel the Purifier from the Life Splinter. Given how early in the Edition we are in and because I bought an addition 1,000 packs during Phase 2, I was able to guarantee myself a fully maxed version of each for regular foil. I was also luckily enough to get myself a Gold Foil version of Uriel which will go great for my Gold Foil rental Collection.
Many more of these to come and incredible to see the value being built for all the players in the ecosystem. My Collection has continued to bloom despite the declines in value seen in the past months. I cannot avoid getting deeper into this and while I am already well past my budget of packs, I am sure there will continue to be reasons to add for the chance for more AirDrops even as they slow.
