Pokemon Go Fatigue
I have been surprised how rushed most of the changes around the game over the last two years which have led to too much going on at the same time. There is too much to do in my opinion and the incentives are no longer aligned with my style of playing. While this may be due to my bias lately of playing Splinterlands instead, I find no reason to play much except when I am traveling and have nothing to do but waste some time.
Even the emails sent were a turn off as looking at yet another costume for Pikachu were no more exciting than the event itself. Even after the event, I was surprised to see that they announced the release of the newest generation of Pokemon from the newest Pokemon console game, Sword and Shield! It may be signal that the game releases will finally slow down but I wouldn't count on it given new games soon following for consoles.
