Motivator1mtk Game Review - Final Fantasy Type-0 HD #/20

Final Fantasy Type-0 gets a positive response from fans of the Final Fantasy series. However, this game is only released in Japan, so gamers outside Japan can only bite the finger, until Square Enix finally announced that they issued Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for PS4.

PS4 version of Final Fantasy Type 0 does have a more subtle graphics than the PSP version. It's just that the delicate look is sometimes reduced in some stages, for example when talking with NPC, or when events related to characters that are not important. Perhaps Square Enix better focuses the view on events related to the main characters. If you are not a gamer who insists on a perfect graphical display at all times, this will not hinder your enjoyment of playing.

For the story, of course nothing has changed from the PSP version. You act as one of the characters who joined in Class 0 of Rubrum. High Commander Cid Aulstyne, as chairman of the Milites Empire, declared war to the other three parts of Orience, namely Rubrum, Concordia, and Lorican. After successfully dropping the Lorican, Cid continues to attack Rubrum, where Class 0 is located.

Of the 14 playable characters available, the main story focuses on Machina and Brakes. But that does not mean you will not recognize the remaining 12 other characters. Recognize each deeper character can be enjoyed every "day" in the game by talking to them, or reading their biography. However, there are some characters who seem less "participate" in the story. For the story, Final Fantasy Type-0 is quite successful illustrating the dark side of the war.

Talking about gameplay, if previously many gamers who feel stressed with the difficulty level of this game, then there are difficulty levels of Easy to choose from. Battle runs fast, you must be diligent in pushing buttons to keep moving, dodging, attacking, using magic, changing characters, or summon summoning. Each defeat the enemy, you get a Phantoma that can be used to increase magic using Altocrystarium.

Different enemies will drop Phantoma differently, so you must actively hunt enemies. To get the enemy, you can adventure on the World Map. Yaaay! World Map who missed the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy finally returned again. The enemy appears randomly on the map, but when meeting enemies you sometimes get the option to keep fighting until all the enemies lose (or you feel bored). When fighting, there are 3 characters that can be brought, but you only control one character only.  No need to worry about the rest of the 2 other characters, they are quite reliable and can be a great asset (especially if their level is high enough). AI seems to be improved so they get better than in the PSP version. If one of the KO characters, then the backup character will appear to replace it. KO characters not only because their HP is up, they can also knock out when you choose to use summon. Do you think by using summon then all the battles become easier?

Absolutely not, this is because summon can only be used in a limited time. When time runs out, you lose a character and must replace it with another character. The most effective way to inflict massive damage to the enemy is by utilizing Critical Hit. When fighting, lock on enemies will sometimes turn red. Critical Timing Hit each enemy differently, sometimes when they attack and sometimes when they dodge. So your patience is also tested during the fight.

Quest can be found within the city or Academy, and many quests give new items or magic. If you are one of the gamers who are confused about the story of this game, it is recommended that you play for the second time. More details about the Final Fantasy Type 0 story will open when you play back, adding a replay value from Final Fantasy Type 0.  Overall, Final Fantasy Type 0 HD does have a better graphical display, better AI, and additional movie (which only consists of a few minutes). Because of the release in English, questions in stories that were previously still being questioned by gamers who do not understand Japanese are finally answered.
