Warcraft Games
Warcraft is one of the most popular franchises today. During Blizzard's young years they came upon this fantasy setting set in world of Azeroth that slowly but surely took imaginations of millions of gamers all over the globe. What is so special about Warcraft, there are many reasons why Warcraft games are so popular, epic saga of many interesting characters, truly demonic enemies and strife between Horde and the Alliance that never gets old. Today I wall talk about beginnings of Warcraft RTS games and focus on World of Warcraft some other day.
Warcraft
All the way back in 1994. first Warcraft game was released. In those simple beginnings Blizzard built nice building block for things to come. Player could chose between Humans and Orcs and could play single or multiplayer games. Story is mostly based on Warcraft movie so you know how that went on. It is amazing how far Warcraft came from this.
Warcraft 2
Seeing the success of Warcraft Blizzard decided to make another game that came out in 1995. Everything about this game at the time was great, eye pleasing graphics, fun RTS gameplay, fun factions, more missions, more units - air and naval. List can go on and on. One of the first games that I got the chance to play in multiplayer. Story is a continuation of Orcs and Humans war in Azeroth. Beyond the Dark portal is an expansion that continued with the story.
Warcraft 3
This game is one of the best games ever created. Game is about four completely distinct and mechanically different factions, Undead and Night Elves joined the fight with Humans and Orcs. Game had very lengthy and interesting singleplayer campaign where Burning Legion invaded Azeroth. Frozen Throne expansion continued the story of Arthas, fallen paladin who became the Lich King, all that story continues through out World of Warcraft. Everything is connected with Warcraft games and with the latest WoW expansion Legion, things are shaping up to be very interesting. People smell it in the air, Warcraft 4 might be announced soon.
I never had played the games but I watch the film and I really love it. But I think I will like to play the games one day. The only thing I think it will be really hard to get a copy of those games now days. thanks for the share.
Warcraft 3 is easy to get. Still looks and feels great, and multiplayer scene is still alive and well. Check one or two youtube videos about Warcraft history to get you up to speed. Fun times await you ;)

WC2 was the first computer game I played as a kid. Loved those turtles.
