The Best Survival Horror Games

It is cold winter night and you just want to play some immersive Survival Horror Games. Someone likes to get spooked, you know the monster is around the corner but you will still jump from the seat and hurt your leg. My first introduction to this genre were Resident Evil games and I've probably played most of them. These type of games do have some adventure elements where you have to solve complex puzzles and combine items to get through, but one thing they all have in common are the jump scares. Here we go.

Resident Evil 2

You play as a cop Leon in a Racoon city where some strange virus mutates people and turn them into zombies. Everything is destroyed and there are few survivors so you must find a way out with horrible evil stalking you in every step. Jump scares in this game were some of the strongest ones, for example you just walk down the corridor and from nowhere zombies break out and you get a mild heart attack. But you manage to pull yourself out and beat the game.

Dead Space

This is a Science Fiction game in deep space where space miners while mining find strange alien ruins and get themselves infected by necromorph condition. That condition mutates a human into a bladed type of monsters that goes into killing sprees. Your mission is to find out what happened and to survive the impossible odds of this outbreak. Very atmospheric game that i would like to recommend to everyone. 

Alien Isolation

Who doesn't like Alien movies or games. This great game came out 2 years ago and it is still played today because of the great smooth graphics, great story, great exploration, and amazing atmosphere. You can find many items and combine them into weapons for you to survive those nasty aliens. Scares were the real deal in this game. 

Silent Hill 2

You will know this game just by seeing the iconic man with iron mask and huge sword. Movie was also made about this game that had mixed reviews but i liked it cause i liked the games. This Horror game gets you inside abandoned city where you see strange deadly creatures and illusions are happening in your head non stop. It is psychologically based game with some real life consequences for your character. One of the best horror games out there.
