The Best Postapocalyptic Games
Today on the menu are postapocalyptic games, seems fitting for monday. This gaming theme is based around total destruction of our planet, nuclear war, asteroids, alien invasions and similar kind of doomsday scenarios. Your character will somehow survive the apocalypse and wake up in a complete wasteland and try to see what's up. Here are some of the best Postapocalytic games.
Fallout 2
Postapocalyptic RPG with so much depth and exploration in a mad world ruined by nuclear war. Your mission is to find the garden of eden creation chip or G.E.C.K to help you village to survive, that quest will lead you to explore the wasteland and meet it's crazy inhabitants. Mutants are the true rulers of this world and you can even have one of your own to help you in some fights.
Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl
Open world exploration of zones around Chernobyl. A game where you had to explore the land and survive that harsh environment. You meet all sorts of factions in your travels and get attacked by many mutants in your goal to reach the center of the zone where your wish can become reality. As you can see there are nice looking mutants in this game.
Metro Last Light
Postapocalyptic Moscow where humans live deep underground in metro stations. Atmosphere outside is deadly for them and there live strange mutated creatures. This game had special game mechanics with low amount of ammo, you had to scavenge and use tactics to survive and use breathing masks that had timers when you go outside. Very immersive game with great story and amazing graphics.
Wasteland 2
Tactical role playing game in post apocalyptic world. You take a role of a Ranger who is on a mission to help the people of wasteland any way he can, sometimes others will suffer because your choice was to save some other settlement, you can save the other ones in 2nd play trough . Big world with many choices and consequences. Can't wait for Wasteland 3.
Rage
In this postapocalyptic game an asteroid hits out planet and destroys everything. You are a survivor in this great looking Cell Shading game that is trying to survive the mutants and raider bad guys. You could even drive some vehicles in this game that were nicely done. Cell Shading is a graphics technology that can make games look like comic books. I will probably make another list of that kind of games later on.
Awesome list as always man, I never played fallout 2, I remember when fallout 3 came out I had all these people talkin about fallout 2 and how amazing fallout 3 would be and I'm like ... Ok....
After that...
Until the witcher 3 came out I'm pretty sure I hadn't put more hours on any game like I had on fallout 3, incredible series. And you of course we've talked about how bad ass wasteland is.

Hey Will, great to see your comments as always. Original Fallout games were so great, even though I've played Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4, I still like original games more. I urge you to try them :)
