The Best Fighting Games
Most fun you can have playing with your friends are the fighting games. Two controllers, two characters, two warriors battling it out. Winner gets all the beer! This genre of games hadn't changed much since the beginnings, block, low kick, high kick, combo, fireball. Graphically though fighting games are improving all the time. I've probably played most of the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter games out there, but I can't make the standard top 10 list because there are only few franchises that are worth mentioning. Fighting games don't have some deep stories revolved around them, just pick a toon and FIGHT.
Mortal Kombat 3
This fighting game came from the era of Super Nintendo, a sequel with more characters and fatalities. Blast them all with Sektor's rockets or Liu Kang fireballs and bicycle kicks. I had so much fun playing this game when i was a kid. Now i play Mortal Kombat X and still have a lot of fun.
Killer Instinct
Also on Super Nintendo This game probably had the craziest combos I've ever seen in a fighting game. Fun characters and fluid action. They even released modern version of this game but the old one is the real gold here.
Tekken 3
Back on the original Playstation this was go to fighting game. Realistic characters and realistic combat with some exceptions, in this game throws did matter and you could change fighting stances to throw off your opponent.
Street Fighter 4
It is hard to name the best Street Fighting game out there cause they are all pretty much the same with improved graphics and some new characters. I liked Street Fighter 4 because it was modernized and i needed to play some Street Fighter after a long wait.
