The Best Fantasy Games pt.11

There is no game like a Fantasy game, when you want to explore mystical new worlds and see magical creatures in action, casting spells at foes and finding that great artifact pants that gives you +20% to armor, fantasy game is a place for you my fellow steemit gamer. At the beginning of the genre there were just blocks of pixels moving around and most of the things were left for our imagination, but today we can see many vibrant and alive worlds due to GPU's that can power up a city. This list has the potential to be huge considering how many fantasy games are out there, so this list will be a series. Check my blogs to see previous interesting episodes. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2

Legacy of Kain series revolves around two anti hero Vampires Kain and Raziel operating in dark fantasy world of Nosgoth. There are many games in this series and Soul Reaver 2 was about Raziel who is trying to execute his revenge on his former master Kain. Interesting story and great action made this one a game to remember.

Shadow Man

Good old 90's game. This was 3rd person perspective action game where we played with immortal Voodoo warrior. Your hero could switch between two shapes, his human and his monstrous voodoo warrior form. Great story, puzzles and action. I always appreciated dark fantasy games and this one was one the best.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic

This is Might and Magic trip to first person action game and developers did a great job. Action was kinetic, your character would swing his sword and depending where you hit your enemy, he would bounce in that direction making combat fun and strategic. Also very nice graphics at the time.

Might and Magic X

Game based on grid movement over the world map and turned based combat. You would explore great looking environments and fight many difficult battles, game that rewards smart and tactical gameplay. Your characters would grow in power and unlock many new skills and would fight against tougher opponents. Great fantasy game.

Spellforce

Spellforce games are the hybrid between RPG and RTS and this game series is one of the best. You could level your hero and equip him with powerful weapons that you can find in very big maps where you could do increasingly difficult quests and build your base and mass your army to crush your opponent. Late game heroes are like titan units wrecking everything. Fun times.
