Introduction

Most hardcore fans of RPG genre will tell you if you haven't already to play UnderRail. This game has that sorely missed old school feeling in a modernized society with big AAA games where you need a ninja PC just to start the game. You can play this game on a Windows 95 PC and you will have same amount of fun as playing Witcher 3, that is if you love RPG games. 

If there is any game from where the devs took inspiration from, most definitely it is Fallout. This game takes place in a future where people live underground and try to survive against all sorts of mutants and cyborg abominations. Take a look.

Gameplay

Just like in Fallout games you create your character and pick few starting feats. Generally you want to plan how to develop your character for late game, because this game is unforgiving for the unprepared. I got beaten quite a lot in this game, it is hardcore. What I'm trying to say is that you will quick load your game a lot.

As you level up you will find stronger equipment and weapons, but as i said without planing how to level your character you will still have a hard time. Even though i had quite nice game plan to create a melee character with focus on strength and heavy armor and throwing grenades on mass enemies, it did not work quite as well. 

You can take a completely different route in you character development like psionics (something like SF mage) and try like that, with some help of ranged weaponry. Or you can be a stealth assassin with a crossbow, stealing and lockpicking skills. Game will offer you hundreds of feats to choose from and make from you an ultimate survivor.

Combat is turn based where you can move to a better tactical location and throw one grenade, next turn enemies will come closer then you can kill them one by one with your melee weapon. Works sometimes, when you can barricade yourself nicely, in some other instances heavy hitters will surround you and you will be dead fast. 

Game currency is also quite important in this game, you can buy many useful schematics for for crafting advanced items and weapons. There are so many crafting materials that your inventory will be filled very quickly. Then you will have to travel to your base to sell or drop it on the floor and return later.

Everything in this game is connected and doing quests will level you up fastest. If you get lost and don't know what to do or where to go next, which is quite possible, take a look at your notebook and find clues. I can tell you one thing, this game is very satisfying when you advance trough it.

Try this game guys, you will not be sorry. Very fun game with nice Science Fiction story, fun mechanics and character development, and the greatest thing of all, this game will return you in the golden era of RPG gaming. It is a hard game so if you are a casual gamer this game might not work for you. If you loved original Fallout games don't even think about it, install this game and go purge some underground bastards.
