Neverwinter Nights Games pt.1
If you want to talk about one of the best RPG series you will for sure mention Neverwinter Nights series from Bioware. Neverwinter is a city in Forgotten Realms world which is heavily based on Dungeons and Dragons RPG system. It is the same world as Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale game series. Neverwinter games will immerse you in their worlds filled with lore and interesting characters. In pt.1 I will talk about first Neverwinter game and it's three expansions.
Neverwinter Nights
Neverwinter Nights was released in 2002. and it was one of the new best looking games with deep RPG system. What hooked me for this game and this series are the Prestige Classes that you unlock after your level up your standard Fighters, Clerics, Rangers or Mages. Prestige class can deepen your character progression and add much more power. You will explore the city of Neverwinter for rare creatures that will give you ingredient for the cure for plague released by the cultists from city of Luskan.
Shadows of Undrentide
First expansion of Neverwinter Nights offer new campaign and new features like new character classes, monsters, feats, and spells. Story in this expansion is revolving around creatures from the deep trying to restore power and raise the ancient Nether flying city of Undrentide. New prestige classes include Arcane Archer, Assassin, Blackguard, Harper Scout, and Shadowdancer.
Hordes of the Underdark
This expansion takes place underground with Dark Elves called Drow from the Underdark trying to invade the surface world. You are there to stop them and discover deeper plot to this. Somehow you end up fighting archdevil Mephistopheles, fun times and hard battles. In addition to new area there are also new prestige classes that were very interesting, Classes like Shifter, Palemaster, Dwarven Defender and Red Dragon Disciple.
Kingmaker
Last expansion for Neverwinter Nights include less content than previous expansions, but for the fans of the game it was enough because it offered decent story with a nice twist.. In the northern part of the Forgotten Realms lies the Keep of Cyan and your goal is to become the lord of Cyan. To achieve that players will need to convince other guilds to pick you. Meanwhile your enemy the Masked Man will try to beat you in your plan.
