My Top 10 PC Games

Gaming is a big part of my life so here is one quick and digestible top 10 list of my favorite PC games. I could easily make this top 100 list, so many great games are out there that you can classify as art, from graphic, music or story perspective. When game does all that 3 parts right you can call it a work of art. Top 10:

1. Arcanum: Of Steamworks And Magic Obscura

Steam punk open world RPG where you can play with any fantasy race imaginable and be any sort of class. For example you can be Half-orc Technomancer inventor, Dwarf gunslinger or charismatic Elf assassin. Every time you finish the game and start a new you will always find something new. Game to get yourself lost into. Huge detailed world, epic story, itemization and crafting is what makes this game my number 1.

2. Starcraft

RTS When Starcraft came out it was so new and strange with three completely different races. Those 3 races played so differently that you had a feeling that you are playing compeletely different game. Protoss, Terran and Zerg with different tactics could create hours, days, months of fun strategy gaming.

 

3. Half Life

This FPS was so atmospheric with main character a scientist Gordon Freeman that worked in secret facility of Black Mesa, sudenly strange alien occurrences started to happen. He took his famous crowbar and started adventure like no other. Half Life 2 was even more successful but original paved the way for modern shooters.

4. Diablo 2

Action RPG from Blizzard that improved everything original Diablo offered, 5 classes to choose, with expansion 7. 5 Acts of monster slaying and loot finding, Diablo 2 was that type of game where you could search for hours finding that special gear piece. With demonic evil lurking all around this was such a fun game to play.

5. Planescape Torment

Game of art, turn based RPG with main protagonist Nameless One who found himself with no memory in strange alien world, game of choices and philosophy. Some of this game NPC's were so strange that to this day there are no stranger ones invented. Visual aspect to the game is still relevant in 2016. True work of art.

6. Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Turn based strategy game that everyone knows and loves, building your armies and cities, leveling up your heroes could lead to endless hours of fun and one more turn and I'm done! You would never be done in one more turn, you would spend many more hours just one more turning.

 

7. Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War

This RTS game introduced me to crazy and lore rich Warhammer 40k universe. Imagine fantasy races in far future, Orks with space ships and guns, Elves with anti gravity tanks but with same speed and grace as the elf race, in this universe they are called Eldar. Brutal universe where there is only war. And what a fun war it is!

8. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

You got to have one Star Wars game on this list. 10k years before the main movies plot was the old republic with jedi and sith battling it out. What was so special about this game is that deep story and SW mystery around your character. I don't want to spoil the story but it could easily be on par with the movies.

9. Warcraft 3

Another RTS from Blizzard, that company did make the best games back then. Warcraft 3 introduced a hero gameplay with your standard rts format, you could level those heroes by killing creeps on the map and finding items. That lead to deeper strategy and tactic maneuvers with 4 different races each having 4 heroes. Game i used to play competitevely and even participated in some tournament. 

10. Fallout 2

Post apocalyptic RPG with so much depth and exploration in a mad world ruined by nuclear war. Your mission is to find a water chip to help you village to  survive, that quest will lead you to explore the wasteland and meet it's crazy inhabitants. True classic and massive franchise today.
