Most Anticipated PC Games of 2018

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

As 2017 is coming to a close it is a good time to look at some of the promising new titles of 2018. Some of these you already know that are coming from the big companies like Bioware or Ubisoft, but there are also some interesting new games that might do the unexpected and beat the big and established gaming companies. There are thousands of games released every year, this is just a small taste on what will come in some of the most interesting gaming genres out there.

Metro Exodus

Posapocalyptic survival FPS is coming back and it looks better than ever. This game will take you on a new and dangerous journey through postapocalyptic Moscow and surrounding areas where life is miserable and filled with mutants that will want to take your head off. You will need to find the scarce ammunition and use scavenged weapons to get through the misery. Great atmosphere and survival mechanics will be the main selling point of new Metro. This game will be good, guaranteed.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire

Pillars are coming back in 2018 after, some would say not so good first game, mostly coming from the hardcore fans of the old school RPG genre. First game for me was great and I can't wait to jump into Pillars of Eternity 2. In second game there will be a lot of new mechanics like dual classing, maintaining your pirate ship, collecting crew and exploring the fantasy island archipelago with your mages, clerics, fighters, rouges, cyphers and many more classes. This is a game to watch for.

Iron Harvest

Iron Harvest is a RTS game set in diesel/steam punk alternative World War 1. Game will look familiar to any Company of Heroes and Dawn of War 2 fans, because the game will have similar gameplay and graphic style. Some of the models in this game look absolutely awesome and I can't wait to see them in action.

Far Cry 5

If you want some mindless FPS fun in a beautiful looking environments of some fictional location in Montana USA where rednecks and religious freaks started to create mayhem, this game might be a perfect fit for you. Nobody can deny the draw of Far Cry games with their open sandbox worlds to explore and so many things to do, skin some wild life, increase your inventory size, take your quad on a spin and do some stunt races, all that and so much more can be done in Far Cry 5.

Anthem

Anyone who has seen the preliminary gameplay videos and screenshots of Anthem, a new Bioware RPG, will probably say that this game can't fail and it will be a huge hit. Anyone who has been following gaming for many years will know that the looks are not everything, and so many games that looked good did not deliver on the gameplay and overall fun factor. Will Anthem fail or succeed, time will tell. I think this game will be good, also your hardware might cry if you don't upgrade your old bucket for this game.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker

This is an old school RPG game that came from successful Kickstarter campaign and it is made by one of the gaming most popular names out here, Chris Avellone is a sure sign this game will at least be playable. Game takes us in a new fantasy world where we can set our party and explore the lands, kill the monsters and save the damsels in distress. Game looks so good and relaxing, looking forward to this one as well as Pillars of Eternity 2 mentioned above.

Really waiting for Far Cry 5! That is one bad ass game!

OOh Iron Harvest and Anthem sound pretty neat! I am a shitty gamer but doesn't mean I dont enjoy them :)

Anyone who can do a penta kill with tryndamere is good in my book :)

I’ve got a feeling that Anthem will be the next big talking point about GaaS games squeezing money from its audience. The pleasing thing about this trend is that it means I won’t have to update my hardware as the AAA industry increasingly makes games so unattractive to play.

Metro games are always kickass! Anthem I hope is done well, keen for that one.

Steemit will watch how things unravel and report :)

All 6 games sound mega. Far Cry 5 would be my favorite since I have played other Far Cry versions;)

Far Cry: redneck edition might be a lot of fun and Metro is always great, but honestly I'll be mostly looking out for the last two. Mostly Pathfinder, since my current hardware is kinda old and Anthem looks like something I'd want to play in 4k :(

oh, i should try out all. thanx for the info bro..

Looking forward to some of these, too.
