Heroes of Might and Magic Games pt.1
If you want to play Heroes of Might and Magic game you better prepare for long gaming sessions. There are no quick games in this game series, it is a turn based strategy with RPG elements. Build your town with many different resources, explore the map, fight the creeps, upgrade your units, find strong artifacts are the basis for every Heroes of Might and Magic game. Battles are played in a hexagonal grid arena where stacks of units that have different abilities battle it out. Many developers over the years tried to change the winning formula of Heroes games, most of the Heroes games after HoMM 3 were quite bad, but as a fan of the series I found some of them to be quite enjoyable. Every HoMM game part 1, or the golden era of HoMM games.
Heroes of Might and Magic
First spinoff of popular Might and Magic RPG series that took more strategic approach, who knew at the time that Heroes series will grow so popular. First game took place in fantasy world that is filled with legends and magical creatures. You can pick between might and magic heroes and start gathering your armies for the win. This game was just a building block for great things to come.
Heroes of Might and Magic 2
Heroes 2 introduced more detailed gameplay mechanics with more towns and skills to chose from. Units were more detailed and when you reach later stages of the game, late game units like Black Dragons were truly game winning conditions. In this game we were able to upgrade units for better stats and added abilities, that little gizmo really added some flavor to the game.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3: The Restoration of Erathia
Probably the most played Heroes game for any gamer that played HoMM series. This game is so epic, so fun, so everlasting, so evergreen that I can't even. Everyone played the game with the two expansions installed, The Shadow of Death and Armageddon's Blade that adds Conflux town to the mix. What is so special about this game one can wonder. I guess it is the mix of interesting maps, music, fantasy, progression, tactics and absolute joy when you win the map after many hours of gameplay.
I've been playing HM&M 3 this week. Classic game and lots of fun. :-)

OMG! Unbelievable! Heroes 3! It's was my favorite strategy game together with, AoE 1 and RA. :) Beautiful period.
Those are also my favorites. One thing to add, Mighty Gorgons FTW! :)
